Lightning looked at the ground, thoughts swarming his mind as he walked, his ears didn't lift at all to listen for prey. He didnt even seem at all focoused on the hunt.

302 stopped, he had picked up the scent of an elk herd, he flicked his tail signaling for his group to stop. He strained his neck, looking over to horizon when he noticed the herd, blurred shapes in the dawn light.

Lightning glanced up, he wasnt paying too much attention. He looked elsewhere other then at the herd.

302 noticed Lightning's lack of care or attention, the Casanova narrowed his eyes. "Listen Lightning, if all you're going to do is be negative, you can just go back to camp." He hissed quietly, "I rather you not screw this up we found a good herd..." He turned to face forwards again, scouting out a bull elk.

Avikii padded over to his den, sitting down outside of the entrance, he was pretty bored again, and soon began to wander into his own mischievous thoughts.

Lightning turned to look at 302 with a glare, he had a higher rank then the cassanova and had no reason to talk so rudely. However he took his point under consideration and did his best to brush his thoughts and troubles aside

302 twitched an ear, he was tired of seeing Lightning so down, all it was doing was making everyone sap over him. He shook himself, beginning to pace forwards slowly, making sure not to move any of the bushes and grasses around him to the point where the elk could hear him. He glanced over at Kane, nodded slightly to inform him to move to the other side of the herd.

302 glanced towards Lightning, he flicked his ear. He kept his eyes locked on the bull elk that wasn't too far off, the Casanova lunged forwards, like a bullet from a 12 gauge, he quickly bit down hard on the elks lower thigh. He lashed his head back and forth, ripping at the bull elks flesh, he hoped that Lightning would jump in quick because the elk was reacting quickly.

Lightning quickly jumped at the elk, comming back in and landing another bite on its leg, he sank his teeth into the opposite thigh. His teeth were latched on and he did his best to slow it down, to keep it from running much further to give 302 another shot at it. The elk was still fairly strong and he had to quickly let go before it's rack made contact with his body. His eyes were wild and his adrenaline pumped as he got more into the hunt, determined to take the weakened bull down.

302 let go of the elks thigh, a sizable dent missing from his powerful jaws, he took a couple paces back as well, but then quickly darting forwards again and this time landing a hard bite on the bull elks neck. It was harder to hold on there since the bull continued to thrash, all the Casanova did was bite down harder, he could taste the warm blood dribbling from the fresh wound.

Lightning lunged forth and bit into one of the forelegs, trying to weaken it and stop it from thrashing. Its weak hind legs were shaking and loosing a lot of blood

302 bit down even harder on the neck of the elk, he could feel it getting weaker and slower, the thrashing not occurring as much. He yanked downwards, pulling the elk with him. He released his grip on the elks neck but only long enough to get in another swift bite on its upper neck. He glanced at Lightning, seeing him take down the elk as well.

Lightning tugged hard at the leg, once he was satisfied its body was slowinghe went for the throat just beneath the neck, opposite to the side Avikii held onto. He waited briefly for his chance and sank his teeth into its neck. Its breathing became slower and more ragged, its windpipe was punctured.

302 released his grip, fresh blood was glistening on his muzzle and teeth. He looked at Lightning, who had the final biting kill in his paws. The Casanova shook out his pelt, a few blood droplets flying from his muzzle.

(Sorry im tired rn, like ive been getting 9 hours of sleep or less and i usually get like 11-12 on summer or weekends at least and practice was so tiring oml.)
Lightning watched as its body let out a few last waves of nerve convulsions. He licked his muzzle after letting go, "That good enough hunting for you, oh kind leader?" He teased 302, who was ironically lower in rank. He grinned and shook out his pelt.

302's fur prickled at Lightning's words, but it quickly smoothed out. He glanced over at the higher ranked wolf, his golden gaze stiff. "It sure was, that was a sweet kill." He grinned at Lightning as well, almost copying him on purpose just to be playful.

(Nah, i have tried, it have to be exhausted like, my eyes drooping closed, or i cant sleep before the normal time ive set for myself... which happens to be 11 .. plus i cant take naps, my body just doesnt let me sleep during the day....)
Lightning grinned, glad the warrior didn't take his joke to heart. He shook his head, "Alright, we should probably try to get this back to camp." He sighed, pausing and falling silent, his smile slowly fading as he thought of camp. His heart rate slowed as the adrenaline left his body and all the thoughts came swarming back.
