Treason of the highest order [open]

Takoni had been at camp for a while now, getting beat by a Canyon Pack wolf wasn't something he wanted to remember. He even had a great upper hand yet somehow, he was overruled. At the sound of slow heavy paw steps, he looked up, his jaw dropped at the sight of how mangled Storm appeared. What happened to him? He thought. Oh I should have stayed back instead of darting away... He added, glancing at his paws as the once mighty alpha called his pack together.

The pale streaked male slowly made his way over to the tallrock, surprised that Storm made it up. The warrior looked up, his dark amber eyes faded in the dim lighting, appearing almost glazed over. He could guess what this meeting was for, it had to be something about Arrow, he just wished he knew exactly what.

Crescent padded out of her den silently. She'd been busy tending to the wounded, including herself, and she wasn't surprised to see Storm looking so mangled. She suspected he must have been in a fight, a bad one at that. Probably with the alpha from Canyon, if anyone. She made a mental note to ask if there was anything she could do for his injuries later. This pack meeting would surely be about that rescue,

Magpie shuffled out of her den. Unlike many of her packmates, she only had a few nips and cuts. She grinned proudly as she sat down. She still felt exhilarated, the thrill of running through battling wolves, leading Arrow and Jetta to safety. If was a fantastic sensation, mixed with satisfaction. Maybe Storm would talk about the rescue now, at this meeting. Maybe he'd give Arrow a welcome back home! She took a seat next to Crescent, the small subordinate almost dwarfed by the tail healer.

Kyro peeked out from a nearby den, wondering why his alpha had called together his pack. Kyro wasn't around for the battle, so he was clueless to what was happening.

Arrow had lagged behind, she was quite the miserable scrap of fur and bones as she tossed herself to the ground of the bison pack camp. She collapsed breathing heavily. She had thrown up somewhere just past the border and after that brief break she was very slow in making her way back. She felt as miserable as she figured she appeared. She looked absolutely hideous in as worn a state she was. She did her best to pick herself up and pull her tired limbs closer to the group that had gathered before Storm.

Once the majority of his pack was gathered bellow the High Boulder, Storm decided to continue. "First, let me start off by saying that Bison Pack continues to impress me. Tonight, I watched my pack mates fight to the death against Canyon Pack, and I must say, I am very moved. I'd like to thank each and every wolf standing before me for standing by my side in what we did," Storm knew the best way to start this meeting was to start it off on a good note, and every word he said was genuine and honest. Looking around the gathered wolves, he continued.

"Now, there is something important and unfortunate that I must discuss," he started sternly, looking to Arrow. "As most of you know, we were successful in bringing a fellow pack mate back to her rightful place, but unfortunately, those pleasantries will not last very long. Arrow, in the time that you were with Canyon Pack, you chose to conceive pups with one of their own and thus I have no choice but to punish you," as much as he didn't want to do this, the alpha had no choice. He couldn't let wolves get away with treason against their own pack and if he didn't show everyone that this was not something to mess with, they'd all start doing it.

"From this day forward until I say otherwise, Arrow is to be know at the pack Omega. She may not eat prey when we eat, sleep in the dens that we sleep in, or have any relations with any other wolf. Her pup will stay with her on the outskirts of camp and no one wil give them any medical attention. I know it will be hard, but what she did is considered treason of the highest order and can not be accepted in this pack. Am I understood?" he barked, finishing the meeting. Looking from wolf to wolf, he knew that some of them were shocked, but he needed to crack down on rules in order to maintain order in the pack.

Ryka kept her eyes on Storm, hardly surprised by his words. It was true they did an outstanding job during the rescue and fight, and to the fact that Arrow would receive a punishment. She didn't although, know why the pup had to be punished. "Storm! If I may ask, with all due respect, why will the pup be punished? For she has not idea whats happening"

Jetta listened, now fearful for her safty. Me? Punished? Her tail fell between her legs. At least back at canyon I was accepted...

Arrow hopped to her paws her hackles bristled along her spine. She was crestfallen or even more, heartbroken, after all she had been through. He still managed to punish her. She growled under her breath, she should have just died in Canyon. She should have done everything she could have to take her life so she would have to suffer no more. Even the mention of the juicy warm elk that she once knew, that was once ever so familiar, the memory that was but a haze in her mind, was ripped from her like a pup from their mothers milk. The thought of the sweet caress of a pleasant nights sleep taunted her as she felt as it had been ages since she had managed to sleep comfortably, even for a moment.

However at the moment in which Storm spoke of her pup, rage boiled within her and every bit of cynical and selfish thoughts melted away. Her teeth snapped through the air as she spoke, her muzzle curled up into a growl. Her ears were pinned against her head and hackles stood straight up as if she dared go into combat against Storm for the mistreatment he spoke of. "Storm! I don't care what misery you put me through. Starve me, make me work harder then any other wolf here from daybreak to dusk, let my throat shrivel up from the lack of water provided to me while i suffer another count of sleepless nights. But you WILL NOT have my pup suffer the same fate. She, even in Canyon Pack, where they treated me as roughly and as maliciously as you plot to... They still gave her the same rights as any other. She is not accustomed to the tortures of the lack of food water and the sweet touch of sleep which have been ripped from me day by day for the past ... two? three moons now?" Her body shook with rage and her eyes welled with tears as she thought about all that she had done for Bison, yet they dared to be all the more cruel then her captures.

Tears fell from her eyes, finally. Finally, they fell from her eyes, they told of every bit of despair she had endured, her heart prayed for pity on them both, but knew it would not come to her in the least. "Please Storm! I'm begging you..." She bit back every argument against her own mistreatment, after all she had done for the pack. After every hunt, every patrol, after risking death to save that pup. She glanced around the camp, a face she could hardly remember seemed to be missing. She closed her eyes, trying to hold back the tears that shook her up so much. She seemed to her, to be dead... Her heart shattered, her attempt had been nothing but a lost cause. If it weren't even for her, storm would have forgotten easily of the pup. Perhaps he decided to just let them die. Did Storm hate pups as her suspicions rose to be? She looked at storm, unsure whether to be completely shattered, or filled with rage to the storm she had once known was lost to the world around them.

Storm's gaze made it from on wolf to another with fire in his eyes. Where they right to object? Yes. But was he the one in charge? Yes. He didn't care whether this was a pup or not and no matter how much they pleaded for her to get treated like a normal packmate, the Alpha wasn't about to change his mind. The older wolf let out a bark of fury, silencing the crowd. "Arrow decided to have the pup and for that, they will both face the consequences. Yes, I know you all think it's "not fair" for a pup to be punished, but sense when was anything fair?" he snapped, sick and tired of them questioning his authority. "Besides, wouldn't it be more of a punishment to separate a pup from it's mother?" Storm asked but moved on before anyone could reply, starting to get worked up again.

"If Arrow was competent enough to think that she'd be a good mother to this... half bred," Storm spat the words half bred as if it were piece of rotten prey. "Then she is most definitely capable of caring for it while being Omega." With that, the alpha let out one last warning growl, daring anyone to object. He didn't care whether they liked it or not, he was putting his paw down and nothing would make him change his mind and he wasn't going to let any one get away with treason.

Arrow glared at Storm with a look of pure hatred. She was glad Hediki was left in Canyon, and part of her even considered taking her pup, jetta, back to canyon where there at least despite her bloodline she was treated as an equal.
She had never felt so shattered, despite her need to argue against storm, she knew there was no use. She was a shattered spirit, broken down from the inside.
It was a surprise she was even still breathing. She could not be so surprised despite her state, her susceptibility to sickness, to death, and yet storm presses on with his decisions. She shook her pelt and decided whatever little food she did get would go to her pup, even if it meant doing so behind storms back. She bent over and licked jettas head gently, "I'm sorry..." She murmured softly, her voice was nothing but a broken croak, unable to possess hope or confidence or anything of positivity.
