Conclave at the Creek (OPEN)

Faolan watched from the other side of the river at the Canyon wolves as they came to the Oxbow. He remembered a few names like, Swift, Hediki and Axolotl and Shade. "Hi Axolotl and other Canyon wolves!" He called not sure if the female was Swift. (This is afterwards.)

Axolotl was surprise as he found a little subordinate on the other side. "Greetings Faolan. What brings you here?" He glanced at his pack mates. (This is afterwards)

(Present) His fur brushed against his fellow pack mates as they headed over to the Oxbow. He'd already been n one of these little adventures.

Soba looked up as his friend and once mentor headed out of the den site. He wondered where the older dark wolf was headed, and decided to follow. The warrior quickly learned that there was a group headed to the OxBow, was this planned? He thought, but kept on walking, keeping his gaze on the Casanova in front of him. He wondered if Avikii knew, or would be coming along with them.

Hoja trailed behind Soba and 302, two of the few wolves she knew. She had only been to the OxBow once, and was eager to see it again.

302 glanced behind him, realizing he had two of his pack-mates following behind him. He didn't say anything, but instead offered the young pair a soft smile and continued on his way.

They had passed the border - the creek just a little while ago, now finding themselves in the expanse of neutral territory. It really was beautiful out here, the few snow piles that remained glittered with sparks of sunlight like the stars that swamped the night sky. The Casanova loved how warm it had been recently as well, usually during these chilling winter months there was still thick pelts of snow covering the ground and making the valley look sad and barren. Instead today, the sky shone a brilliant blue, 302 couldn't be happier with the weather, he wished for the heavy snow storms to steer away from the valley.

302 glanced down after staring at the sky, realizing the Old OxBow was in view now. He picked up his pace, seeing a few others had the same idea as him. It was odd seeing so many wolves at the crescent shaped pond during mid-day rather than in the unknowns of night fall. Now he could see the color of his rivals pelts, it really was strange, some of these wolves he hadn't seen before either.

The Casanova stood on the edges of the water, eyeing its still frozen tips. It was a thin layer of ice but only in some areas that caught his eye, he snapped his attention upward as he heard voices. He noticed a young Bison Pack wolf, he knew by their scent, the scent he had known as a rival for over a year now. The shadowy male dipped his head in greeting, his narrow gaze not leaving the other wolf. "Fine day is it not?" He asked, not really to any wolf specifically.

Takoni had trailed along the patrol with the beta and warrior, Ryka and Jetta, for some time now. He found patrols rather boring and was ecstatic when he realized they would be veering off their route to stop at the Old OxBow. He trotted along happily in the neutrally warm air, wondering if there would be any Canyon Pack wolves to show. The pale wolf hoped so, he only ever saw them under the peace of a gathering.

(( OOC~ Quick note! The Old OxBow is not part of the creek, it's not a creek at all but rather a thin strip of pond water in the shape of a cresent ))

Axolotl swiftly turned around to Ice's comment obviously hurt. "Ice, can i talk to you for a moment?" He asked quietly hoping that the younger wolf would not object. The male scout wanted to smooth things over with him so he didn't have to fight for Shade even though she was his mate already.

Faolan excitedly taking no precaution steeped into the creek and paddled over to the Oxbow, This was like a Gathering to him. Both packs even though Canyon outweighed Bison.

Ryka arrived at the old oxbow, with Jetta and Takoni close on her tail. She eyed the wolves around them, most of them were canyon, she wondered if any other wolves from her own pack would show up or if canyon would take up most of the oxbow.

Jetta awed at the sight. So many wolves! Not as many as the gathering but still alot! She glanced at the canyon wolves, smiling.

Shade, could see Ryka, she smiled at her, Shade felt that they where gathering, but she knew that wasn't an official gathering,
they where just talking to each other.

Shade saw that two unknown wolves where approaching, she then afraid said ''Wh-who are you two!? y-you aren't pack wolves! b-back, b-ack o-ff!!''
she tried to look brave but she was afarid the loners where more big than her.

Soba sat down once at the OxBow, he didn't really know what to do with himself. Some wolves he had never met from Bison and found it strange to talk with them. His attention shifted as loners entered the clearing. Loners!? Soba jumped to his paws, fur on end. So far they didn't seem hostile, one even asked for Avikii. The warrior glanced around, not seeing the alpha here.

Hoja stood beside 302, brushing her pelt against his, nodded her agreement to his comment. "It is."

As Avikii neared the Old Oxbow, he was able to pick up distant growls with each step that brought him closer. He quickly picked up the scents of the two loners he had met at the Little Butte. Scarlet? He tried to remember the name of the male loner, he was never formally introduced. The alpha male huffed, not bothering to remember as he picked up his pace, carrying him into the clearing.

Avikii stepped in front of Scarlet and the male loner, his hackles raised in a defensive position, seeing that a handful of the pack wolves had grown agitated by their presence. "They're friendly!" He barked out across the group of gathered wolves, baring his teeth. The male was mostly referring to Scarlet when he announced that they were friendly, simply because the male had quite a bold mouth. He knew he put the other wolf in his place with their little skirmish, it was unlikely for a loner to attack an entire pack of wolves with one paw.

"Don't touch them, this is a peaceful area." He shot a frost-bitten gaze across the clearing, as if daring any wolf to disobey.

Hediki was surprised to see his alpha suddenly pick up pace, so of course the younger male quickly followed, turning around a thicket of sage before resting his green eyes on the scene before him. So many wolves had gathered down here, which really surprised him. Hediki didn't think he had ever seen so many wolves outside a gathering. He eyed the two loners, remembering their appearance at the butte.

302's head shot to the side at Avikii's sudden words. He stole a glance toward Hoja before turning around to get a better look at the situation. He hadn't noticed the loners until just now, thanks to Avikii.

Takoni entered the clearing behind the beta and fellow warrior, surprised to see Avikii defending loners. Did the Canyon Pack alpha know them?
