It was another cloudy day in Slough Creek, a light rain had been showering the valley on and off throughout the day. Avikii had just finished patrolling their borders with 302, he decided to get a quick drink from the nearby creek before heading back to camp. Avikii picked up his pace, feeling energetic suddenly and wanting to run. He glanced back at 302, who was trailing behind, "hey, try to keep up!" The alpha said jeeringly, darting forward with a quick bound ahead. The sage brush pulled at his darkened coat as he raced onward, the rain feeling a bit harder as he increased his speed. Avikii could hear paw steps drumming a little ways behind him, good, so he did keep pace. He thought as he began to slow down, seeing that the creek was right up ahead.
Avikii stopped at the creek bank, he began to lean forwards but stopped himself. He perked up and looked around, how did I get here so quick? He thought to himself, scanning the usual landmarks he usually used as guidance. Wait, I'm not where I should be... He turned to face 302, who had just caught up with him. "Somethings off."

The Casanova looked at his alpha, "what are you talking about? Everything seems fine... Why did you stop? Isn't the creek further than this?" 302 eyed Avikii, then lifted his head to look around.

Avikii shook his head, "that's what I thought too." He suddenly felt wetness under his paws, the alpha looked down, lifting a paw as well. His eyes widened in realisation, "the creek got higher... Way higher." He shook out his wet paw, they were standing in marsh-like land, but it wasn't like this before, He thought, perhaps all the recent rain was making the creek flood!
"We have to get back to camp," He said with a glance towards 302, and in less than a second he was off running again, but this time towards camp...
Avikii arrived in camp, looking for Kaiser, and Lightning as well.

Kaiser laid down on her side, sitting in the shade. She kept her eyes closed, using one fore arm as a pillow of some sort as she slept, her tail resting over her hind legs.

Lightning sat in camp, monitoring everything even though he hasn't much of a need to. He was very observant of everything around. He was glad that Avikii and 302 had taken the dawn patrol for him. They really needed more wolves for warriors. He thought to himself.
Arrow snoozed lightly in her little makeshift den, Shivering slightly

Avikii thudded into camp, he looked around for Kaiser, seeing her in a corner of camp sleeping. He sighed, and figured he should talk to Lightning first. He found him quickly, and padded over to him. "Lightning," He called as he approached, "the valley is flooding, it's slow though, so we have plenty of time to be ready..." He trailed off, thoughts swarming his head.

Lightning stood up quickly reading the fear in his alphas eyes. He watched him, it was odd, "you're the alpha. What ate you coming to me for?" He pointed out to him, growing uneased

Avikii pinned his ears, "you're my most trusted wolf, why wouldn't I tell you? Plus, Kaiser's sleeping, I wouldn't want to disturb her sleep." He eyed Lightning, then giving a quick side glance towards Kaiser, How is she able to sleep in weather like this? He thought to himself.

Lightning blinked, looking at the ground. He hasn't seem to realize Avikii trusted him that much. His tail seated slightly as the wind tugged at it. "We should get as many wolves out hunting and restocking herbs as fast as possible We don't know how long the flood will stay once it reaches its peak." He thought glancing to the darkly clouded sky. "We need to make sure everyone is careful near the water because by the sounds it would be easy to drown in that water." He said thinking things through, "Nobody should be allowed outside of camp alone..." He added
Arrow stirred slightly, drawing to her senses and awakening.

Avikii nodded, "I'll gather a few hunting parties and gathering patrols... You're welcome to join one." The alpha said as he turned, "I'm going to get Kaiser now." He turned and padded off in her direction. He approached her, and nudged her with his muzzle. "Kaiser, get up we need some help around the camp and territory." He paused, watching as she stirred, "can you find Koga and Kane? And any other wolf that's still in camp?" Avikii said in a light tone.

302 followed Avikii into camp, then quickly padding over to Lightning as Avikii left for Kaiser. "What should the warriors do?" The Casanova questioned him.

Kaiser tried to ignore him and keep sleeping but gave up, opening her eyes. She sat up slowly, stretching a bit as she yawned " Wait, what am I doing?"

Lightning paused to think. Working on the camps barriers or patrolling would be useless in these situations. "Join or gather a few wolves to go hunt or gather herbs and mosses and sticks." He would have also mentioned cobweb but assumed after these rains that there wouldn't be any.
Arrows ears perked up, she grew curious as to what all the commotion was about. She closed her eyes briefly letting out a sneeze as she did.

Relic was nearby and heard alot of what avikii said "I can definetly help!" he barked over at avikii as he began to stand up and walk over to him.
Soba was beside Relic and perked his ears with intrest as avikii mentioned a flooding "whoooaaaa... What!?!?!?!?"

Lightning glanced around at the gathering wolves, "Great, It seems we have enough for both patrols. I'll lead the hunting patrol," Lightning offered. Koga was in the nursery so he assumed her position for the time. "302, take some wolves with you, I don't care who. Go and try to restock as many herbs as you can that we find by the water. We don't know how far the water will rise and if we will be able to restock those herbs. Make sure we have all the proper herbs for our expecting queens. If you don't know the propper herbs, find someone who does." He ordered the slightly younger wolf before glancing between the remaining. "Relic would you want to come hunt with me?" He asked the wolf.
Lightning knew Avikii said he would organize patrols, but they hardly had the time to waste seeing as he was still occupied with talking to his mate. He still felt bad he wasn't very good at catching any wolf's eye. He glanced at the ground, then again how could he stand to compare with the Alpha. He shook his pelt out, trying to dismiss the negative thoughts. It was more important for the Alpha to create more kin then him himself. "Soba perhaps you could join 302?" Lightning added to the younger wolf.

Avikii could hear the light talking of Lightning a little ways off, it sounded like he had already had most of the patrols practiclly done. He looked at Kaiser again, “c'mon, we have things that need done...” A thought quickly occured to him, he lifted his head and eyed the scouts den. “Have you seen Vena?” He questioned his mate. “Well... See if you can find her, then after that meet me over by Lightning and the others.” He said as he licked her cheek quickly, and turning to pad towards the assembled wolves.

302 nodded at Lightnings command, he averted his eyes towards where Relic had come from, assuming Soba would be nearby. He caught sight of the yaerling and quickly picked up his paws and headed over to him. “Lightning and Avikii need us for a hunting patrol, care to join me?” The Casanova questioned him.

Kaiser sighed, pushing herself up off the ground before padding over to the Scouts Den. She saw Vena laying in the far back, probably asleep. She shook her head slightly, walking back out and heading over to Avikii and Lightning as well as the other assembled wolves.

(Sorry guys, I wasn't on today because of last minute summer homework and the fact my boyfriend came over today ;u;. School will be starting tomorrow (yay for two ap classes XC ) and I will be on the JV VB team again this year by my personal prefrance so I'll be really busy. Plus I have to save my phone battery for when I'm away on games and don't have access to a laptop like Avikii will. I don't have time to make an official post so I just wanted to notify y'all here in case anyone else asks)
Lightning glanced over at Koga watching her approach. He glanced down at her rather large belly. "If it were up to me," he began, " I would keep you in the nursery, however I don't think its entirely up to me. I will not have you on my hunting patrol, however if and only if Avikii allows it, you may join 302 gathering herbs and other items you or Kaiser may need. Don't get your hopes up though, we don't need you birthing pups in the middle of the forest at a time like this." He informed the queen, not trying to be rude or negative but realistic.
Arrow watched 302 start to gather wolves, sighing she set her head down. She didn't notice it much, but she couldn't help but constantly watch him above all others and look away whenever he even glanced in her direction. She curled her tail tight against her body as she felt the cold winds blow up against her fur. She glanced at her wounds briefly, seeing that they were healing, visibly, well. Upon glancing back at 302 she half wished that somehow she could go with him, just to be near to him. Well.. He was pretty much the only one she truly could trust in this pack. (Yeah good excuse arrow... You like him and you know it don't be so stubborn)

Avikii padded over to Koga, he heard most of the conversation, and pretty much knew why she was so antsy to go do something. "Koga, you and Kaiser are welcome to go collect herbs with 302, it'll be a safer job for you and her, and you'll be able to go out and do something." Avikii gave a light smile, hoping to convince and/or reassure her. He eyed Lightning, getting a glimpse of his expression.
"Me, Lightning, Kane, and Relic can hunt. We don't know if the prey will leave to find dry ground, or how easy or hard it will be to try and catch some if they're still around." He looked to Lightning, holding his tail high in a dominate way. He quickly shifted his vision to Kane who was with 302. "302, I'll have Kane come with us instead, we need more hunters than gatherers." He stated flatly.

302 nodded, "Aight then." He turned to Kane, "Go ahead and catch up with them." He said with a nod as he turned to join Kaiser and Koga. He then thought about Soba, perhaps the yearling could join him since he had an easier and less dangerous task. He quickly spotted the lightly colored wolf at the edge of the two groups. Confusion clearly covered his face as he probably didn't know what to do with himself.
"Soba!" 302 called the young wolf over, "you can join my group, it'll give you something to do."
