Magpie, that small, black, grey and brown pup, smiled as she padded out of the den, ducking under the tree roots knotted above. She had only opened her eyes a few days ago, and was eager to explore anywhere she could. She wore a small smirk on her face, looking around to check if anyone was following her.

Storm needed a break. Not just a little nap, but a break from the den site. Letting out a sigh, he padded out of camp having the idea that going to the creek would be nice, but a scent caught the old wolf's attention. Slowing down, he sniffed the air. A pup out of camp? Geez, could he ever just relax? Now he how to find a pup that wandered off. Following the scent which was still pretty recent, Storm finally caught up to the wanderer. "Feeling curious, little one?" the Alpha barked sternly but held a smile, standing a few fox lengths away from Magpie, a new Bison pup.

Magpie whipped around, staring at the alpha. Oh no, would she be in trouble? But she didn't care - and maybe she could talk her way out of it. She nodded at Storm. "Yes! I just want to look around and stuff!" It wasn't far from the truth, either.

Storm couldn't blame the pup for wanting to explore and gave a small sigh. Well, his idea of a peaceful day was done for. "Let's go then. You can come with me to the creek, or go back to camp, it's your choice," he said bluntly, knowing that Magpie would rather come with him then back to camp where she'd have to spend the rest of the day in a den with her mother-wolf.

Magpie's eyes lit up at the mention of the creek. "The creek, definitely! Let's go then!" She began running ahead of Storm, her little legs carrying her as fast as she could.

Storm couldn't help but give a small chuckle at the Pup's enthusiasm. The older wolf padded after Magpie until he soon reached the creek. Birds sang their midday songs, a cool breeze blew the tall grass, it was perfect. Sitting down, Storm bent down and started lapping up water, truly appreciating Bison's territory.

Magpie smiled, her eyes full of wonder of the territory. She began to lap up water from the creek, the cool liquid slipping down her throat. This had definitely been worth it. She couldn't help but think about when she would be a subordinate - she would have free reign over the this place!
