302 felt cold, not physically, mentally. Regret seeped through his fur like cold water and he shivered at the mental sensation. He flicked an ear, he was still upset that Arrow had plotted to leave him, instead of waiting to be released by Avikii later on. The Casanova debated whether or not to go see Arrow, but thought better of it. So much had happened that morning and he didn't know what to think any longer.

They trotted silently through the cool dawn air, the only thing that filled the gap between them was silence, Until Lightning finally spoke up. At first he nodded to the fact that Lightning wanted to talk about the fight, of course he would have, he couldn’t possibly be the only wolf with questions. What did he mean by he had a neutral view on the skirmish? “What are you talking about? You didn’t want either to win or lose? Would have liked it if it never happened?” Avikii couldn’t help but cock his head in confusion, did he feel pity? He breathed out, listening to Lightning’s emotionless words.
Do I think the fight went down as we wanted it to? Those words rung in his ears. It was pretty pathetic, Arrow had mostly defended herself apart from when she charged 302. He eyed Lightning, only to get showered with more questions.
Avikii pondered his words, unsure how to even answer half his questions. “I think after what you said to 302 last night, about Arrow never really liking him, was a trigger for him to stop having affection towards her.” He stopped, thinking over his reply, more questions to answer. “About Arrow’s performance, she could have done better, I expected her to do better considering the situation. It did seem like her fighting was weakened by something, but I don’t know what it could be since we had been feeding her decently.” He shook his head utterly confused and he hoped Lightning had a better explanation.

Arrow felt pains peirce her stomach again. She grunted, trying to ignore them as much as possible. Her wounds continued bleed out, causing her head to spin. She felt an eternal sickness rise in her stomach and up to her throat. She had to admit she was quickly growing all the more ravenous and parched. She wanted to take a chance and steal some prey. The more and more she thought about it, the more and more she couldn't help it. Lightning and Avikii were gone. Hopefully she could be quick enough to steal some. She quickly got to her paws, her eyes flicking frantically around. She took one hesitant step and bolted for the prey pile, she may only have one shot at sneaking a meal or getting a decent meal at all. She quickly reached the prey pile and leaned over it.
Lightning shook his pelt, taking a second to stop as he did so. "I don't mean it like that. I just coupd care less i suppose you could say? Im not too sure how to describe it." He yawned. "Perhaps that fight was necessary. Arrow did manage to defend herself, though her reactions were slow. In my observations this would tell me she's tired. She probably didn't sleep." He paused. "She didn't manage to land many offensive tactics." He stared at the trees. "Her fighting style was wild. Like she was torn or... I.. I dunno." He lied shaking his head softly.

Avikii eyed Lightning for a moment, trying to understand where he was coming from. "So..." He paused, the alpha didn't know what to say for how to respond, he stopped walking and just stood there for a moment, gaze deep in thought. "Okay so Arrow's fighting style, why are you concerned about it? You say she fought wild, why do you bring it up?" He shot the question back at Lightning, hoping he could explain a little more of where he was coming from.

Quick, light paw steps caught 302's attention and he looked up from where he remained. Arrow? He watched as she headed right for where the pack kept its left overs from hunts and cautiously inspected it for a morsel or more. "Hey!" He barked to get her attention, but not in a tone where he sounded angry, he just wanted her to know that he saw her. He stayed laying down, not bothering to get up as he waited for her to turn and face him.

Lightning looked at the ground. "Her body movements seemed to vary, her tone and her her eyes." He stuttered. He shook his head, he felt like he was going crazy, perhaps he was wrong. He wanted to see if Avikii may come to the same conclusion as he, without him having to put it in his mind. "Could she be sick? Would that explain why she threw up? Why did she say what she said before the fight had been dismissed?" He stared at the ground, avoiding a single assumption that hovered in his mind. He had worried it may had happened, and the thought constantly floated in his mind, what he saw today only supported his theory, but perhaps he was just overthinking it all.
Arrow flinched, she raised her head, looking at him. Her head faced towards him, but her eyes stayed on the ground. Her ears pressed to the back of her head. Fear flooded over her as she kept her body low to the ground. She tried to stay as submissive as she could. She didn't want to fight him again, not anymore, she wondered if he would try to. Thoughts spun in her mind, she didnt know what to do, to scurry back to her den or to try and steal some food and run or what. So she froze there.

Avikii's thoughts stopped almost as quickly as a hare would bolt for cover, "wait, I think... Yes that does make sense." Yet he looked up at Lightnign again, his eyes held a single thought, one that he was avoiding. "Is that it then? You just wanted to tell me she's sick?" Avikii knew where this was going, the evidence lead right to one conclusion, yet he waited, he waited for Lightning to say it first, so the alpha knew he wasn't the only one that thought this.
He flicked an ear, "Because if that's all, we should probably get back to camp if Arrow decided to get up to something..." He trailed off, hoping his words would make his friend respond quicker.

302 averted his eyes to the side, he saw Arrow's submissiveness, it was obvious she didn't want to fight again. And I know exactly why. He didn't move, but looked up at her again with angled ears. "Take a hare." Was all he said, with his proven knowledge of her state he knew she needed food, and desperately. "You should be quick though, before Avikii and Lightning come back... If they see you you'll end up as crow food." He held her gaze, yet showed no sign of his current emotions. He couldn't let her see his real feelings.

Arrow raised her head slightly. This simple show of gratitude made her wonder if she could speak to him. She leaned back over the prey pile, and found it hard to just take the hare without finally explaining herself. She looked at him briefly, "I just want you to know... I didn't want to leave, what Lightning said wasn't true." She opened her mouth as if to say more, but found her throat tightening and tears returning to her eyes. She quickly turned and grabbed the hare and scurried off towards her den, her tail low.
Lightning shook his head, "I wasn't trying to tell you anything, I want to know what you think. I wanted to know what you thought of the fight, If it worked its purpose on 302, if arrow got her punishment, and why she acted so oddly..." He simply shrugged.

302 nodded, his gaze softening. "Thank's for telling me..." He trailed off as he watched her scurry away on the verge of more tears. He sighed, why couldn't things be simpler? He laid his head back on his paws, his eyes resting on where Arrow disappeared...

Avikii huffed, "I don't know, I really don't. Soon enough though she will probably be out of here, we have an up coming gathering to attend and I'm sure that Bison Pack will bring up their missing Arrow..." Avikii changed the subject, his cool blue gaze drifted towards the rivals territory, hopefully they could exchange their prisoner for what they had captured her for. Prey, or maybe even an agreement to expand territory? He let out a breath of air, in the mornings coolness it was visible, puffing and swirling in front of him. Winter would soon be here, and they would need all the extra territory and prey they could get.

Arrow squeezed into her den, facing the opposite of the entrance. She hoped that even if the two did return and she was still eating, hopefully they wouldn't take any notice. She tore into it, quickly swallowing down the fresh meat.
Lightning nodded, "Well we aren't going to just let her go are we?" He asked, as if almost reading his mind. "Especially after all this trouble the she wolf had been?" He asked, tilting his head.

Lightning nodded slightly, "That sounds good. It would be a good choice considering alot of the small prey goes into hiding unlike the large prey Bison pack can so easily hunt in so few numbers." He sounded almost somewhat impressed considering how hard it was to hunt down something like a bison or elk.

Avikii acknowledged his nod, "indeed..." He paused, narrowing his eyes slightly at the sense of admiration coming from Lightning, but quickly brushed it off as he continued talking. "We should probably head back to the den site," he swung his head around for a small moment before looking at Lightning again, "I'm catious of Arrow now, at this point she could be up to anything."
