September Gathering 2016

It was a cold night, Avikii had been waiting outside their main den, he had been wondering what would happen tonight, apart from the Lone Tree meeting, he had been looking forward to seeing his old friend again, but all of that would change tonight. A slight breeze ruffled his dark, coat, that would soon be even thicker with his winter coat. His optic flicked around the small clearing of there den site, getting a good glimpse of the wolves around him. Some wolf would have to stay back and watch Arrow, they knew better now that to leave her alone at camp. The alpha debated on letting Kane watch her, or letting him go and have the nursing wolves watch Arrow. He closed his eyes, letting his thoughts come to a pause, he would ask them, there were a lot of pups to watch and none of them could come with the older wolves to a gathering.

He looked to 302, he assumed the black wolf would want to go to the full moon meeting, but if it came to a final decision Avikii would have to make him stay.

302 sat away from the others, practically hiding in the surrounding shadows of the looming aspen trees. He caught Avikii glancing at him, but quickly looked away. Perhaps I won't even be able to go after what happened, he thought, his ears pinned. He cast a risky glance at Arrow's little makeshift den, wondering what would become of her after tonight. The Casanova was almost worried for her, trying to grasp the fact that she would actually be gone soon if Bison Pack would be fighting for her return soon. He stopping himself from going further into thought, looking down at his paws, now was the time to wait, to wait for this night to end.

Takoni perked up, he had been snoozing lightly outside of the common den when he realized that it was finally darkening. He glanced to the nearby wolves. Are we leaving? He jumped to his paws, his quick nap gave him energy for the night that lurked ahead of him.

Kaiser stood, pushing herself onto her paws as she quickly glanced around at the dark camp. She trotted out of the den quietly, walking over to Avikii and Lighting before looking over at Arrows den, her eyes narrowed slightly.

(ooc: koga can stay behind to and since she has pups it makes sense)

Koga stayed where she was outside the den, she figured that she would needed in the camp rather than out and about. she turned to kane, who was nearby, as always "go without me, avikii will need you at the gathering" she told him

kane looked at her surprised, but then nodded

Lightning watched as 302 was chosen to watch her, he was curious to what the reason was. Perhaps 302 would tell her that her pack didn't even want her, and she needed to hear it from someone who cared. Then again after the fight, there was hardly a strand of compassion between the two or so it seemed. He shook his pelt and glanced at arrow briefly before they started to head out. He wondered why Avikii was still so harsh on the she wolf despite her condition. She looked so weak, carrying the litter she was, it wouldn't be a surprise if one died, or even if arrow died as she tried to bring them out. He felt a stab of pity for her, she seemed to have no release from this string of misery laid upon her shoulders.

Arrow heard that 302 would be staying. Fabulous, just the wolf she wanted to stay, she thought sarcastically. The wolf had been so willing to kill her, so shred her. He played her like a cricket plays its sweet song on the most crisp of summer nights. She was nothing more then a pawn. That was all she would ever be. Arrow flinched as she felt a strong pain shoot through her stomach. She wasnt too sure if a pup had struck her or if that was just the famine she was facing.

Storm stood at the entrance of the den site and waited for his pack to gather together. Tonight, he'd have to face Avikii and not only talk about the abundant source of prey that Bison barely uses but also the human pup that was among the pack. Letting out a sigh, he headed out and padded at a somewhat fast pace towards the Old Oxbow, starting to feel stressed from just thinking about how the Canyon wolves would act towards his news. And Arrow... poor, innocent Arrow. As of now, he had no power over the she-wolf and part of him didn't care. She made the choice to stay and have pups, so she can be their "prisoner" for as long as they wanted her to be, it wasn't his problem any more.

Reaching the Oxbow, Storm took his place on the small hill and waited in silence for Canyon Pack to arrive.

Comet sat down among the crowd of Bison wolves, which was considerably small this moon. Canyon pack hadn't arrived yet, not that he was interested in their presence.

Avikii flicked his tail. "Alright, let's go, we can't keep Bison Pack waiting." He turned, but took a quick pause to turn back around. Looking at 302 he barked, "if any wolf shows up and wonders where we went, let they know they can just the rest of the pack down at the Old OxBow." He informed the younger wolf. This time he turned and started to actually pad forward, his paws drumming on the stiff ground. Him and his pack mates made their way down the sloping hills of their territory, until they eventually got to the creek to cross.

The alpha was impatient, he knew Storm would most likely would be pretty irritated about the whole Arrow thing, but it would eventually blow over... Avikii approached the crescent shaped pond that the two packs gathered within, a single small hill sloped toward the sky in about the middle, where he saw Storm already standing. He shook out his fur, feeling the gaze of Bison Pack wolves on his dark pelt. He parted from his pack and made his way towards Storm, finding a spot beside him on the small hill.

"Nice night, is it not?" He greeted calmly, not wanting anything to stir between them.

302 nodded to Avikii, showing that he understood his request. It was true they would be running late.

Takoni had followed Storm down the the Old OxBow, and found a place to sit where he could easily view the alphas.

Kaiser followed after Avikii and the rest of the pack, lingering behind next to Kane. She sat down next to her packmate, wrapping her tail around her paws.

Storm looked to the other alpha with a blank and cold gaze, not replying to his comment, having no interest in talking about the weather. Seeing that the majority of both packs had arrived, he turned to Avikii, giving a simple nod. The news he had tonight would need to be saved for last, so Avikii could give his reports first.

(The odd thing we haven't really taken a notice to is most wolves actually dont give birth/ try to during fall/ winter seasons... Mating season is actually late winter/ early spring and about half the population of pups should actually die by this logic, considering that disease easily kills young wolves, it gets very cold especially in these parts and there is hardly much food to feed a grown wolf every three days let alone a young pup who needs more per day then an adult. I think if nobody ends up making arrows other pup i may have to kill them off to further point this out? I dunno because arrow really needs a friend and her pups are her best chance at that...)

Lightning sat and watched quietly. He was rather surprised he didn't bring up anything about Arrow, but figured perhaps all that needed to be discussed had been done at lone tree. If Storm really hardly cared about Arrow, he took a glance at the other bison wolves, wondering how much storm cared about the rest of them. If storm didn't care about giving arrow up, would canyon pack chase her out? Would they adopt her in. Lightning looked at his paws, he felt almost guilty for hoping that his sister would be adopted into the pack. Perhaps then he could finally bring himself to appologize to her. However he knew she would probably never forgive him. She already had suffered so much, and if she ever came to learn her own brother was heartless enough to do such cruelties to her. He took a soft, silent sigh, an inhale and a quiet exhale. He hated to imagine how she may act if such news came to her ears.
