Avikii had his gaze hard set on the three wriggling bodies, his attention was torn from them at Lightning's voice. He turned to face his friend, a warm smile set across his muzzle. "Oh of course," he commented in return, "I think each of them will make fine warriors, but we do need others to take on other ranks." He paused for a breath, "with all our recent pups, we'll have plenty of warriors by the time of next summer." The alpha commented. Just the thought of his growing pack overwhelmed him. Bison Pack had recently been struck with greencough yet, it hadn't reached Avikii's pack.

Lightning grinned, nudging the alpha playfully, "Good, you better give me some warriors" he teased. He glanced back at the pups, his soft laugh and smile faded, slowly. He looked away suddenly, as he realised it, a creeping awkwardness down his spine. "I think, Ill be heading off to sleep now. I bid you a goodnight, Avikii" He said with a simple dip of his head. He glanced at Kaiser, freezing up for half a second, "As to you too Kaiser" he said after a short moment of hesitation. With that he turned off towards his den, his pawsteps silent.

Kaiser smiled a bit, looking up at Lightning. " You as well, Lightning." She said. Looking down at Swift, and the other two un named pups, she sighed a bit, racking her brain for name ideas. " I'm stumped."

Avikii chuckled lightly, a small smile rested on his face as he slowed down. His smile though was quickly replaced with a slight frown at Lightning's sudden mood change. Why did he act so suddenly awkward? He slowly shook his head, he would never understand that wolf.
He was brought back to the present at Kaiser's words. Avikii looked at the pups, one name down two to go. His soft blue gaze fell on the little black female. She remained him of his mother's mother, who happened to be named Mari. "I think the name Mari is going to fit perfectly." He said, a smile finding it's way back onto his muzzle. "It was the name of a relative, I couldn't help myself." His smile remained on his muzzle as he licked Kaiser's forehead out of pure compassion.

Kaiser ignored how awkward Lightning had been acting, not sure what had been up with him for a while. She shook her head, looking back down at the pups, following Avikii's gaze to the black pup. She nodded a bit " I like that name." She said smiling a bit as she leaned into Avikii.
