The Rescue [open - FINISHED]

Ryka followed behind Storm, slight worry bubbling in her gut. What if they left empty pawed? She shook out her fur, not wanting to think of the downfall. They were going to rescue this wolf Arrow, who she still had to actually meet. And maybe even a pup.

OOC: Gonna get this started so it doesn't die.

IC: Storm turned from looking to his pack to Canyon territory. It was time. At first, he thought it would've been better to stealthily sneak into the Canyon Pack densite, but now that he thought about it, either way they were going to distract the other pack and take Arrow back. Adrenaline pumped through his veins as if he was hunting elk, and the Alpha started to get excited. Letting out a howl from deep within his throat, Storm jumped down from the Little Butte and ran towards the Canyon Pack densite. Paws thumping against the ground, barks and howls emitting into the cool night air, Storm and his packmates were ready.

Lightning followed behind Avikii, he could hear a howl in the distance. He thought it sounded oddly close, but perhaps it was just his mind playing a trick on him. He continued to the camp quietly, but his hackles remained prickled.

Arrows ears perked at the faintest howl in the distance. Something about her was hopeful enough to imagine it to be storms. She shook her head, it probably wasn't. She glanced around and realized that hediki must have been sleeping with the other pups in the nursery while she lay curled around her other pup, doing her best to keep her warm with the little body mass she had.

Ryka kept up with her alpha, an evil-like smirk on her face, they were going to show up canyon pack no matter the amount of injuries.

ooc: so when will they get there?

A howl caught Avikii’s attention, along with many other barks and growls. His eyes widened at the sudden flurry and stench of Bison Pack. More barking, more snarling, everything had happened so suddenly, he could have expected something so violent after such an on edge night under the full moon. He felt pelts brush past him, small nips here and there.

The Canyon Pack alpha glanced around, his frosty gaze now turned wild, a deranged glint to them. How dare Storm... thinking he can invade our den site, he thought, and he knew exactly why they were here. Bison Pack was here for Arrow, that was obvious. They wanted her back, even after Storm said he didn't care, looks like the old fool couldn't make of his mind, Avikii snickered, his grin noticeable. His thoughts soared back to reality, the pups! Energy rushed through him as he pelted for the den where he prayed the pups had stayed while they were at the gathering. He jolted to a stop at the mouth of the den, breathing a sigh of relief at the sight of multiple sleeping bodies. Broken should be nearby, she would protect them. He thought as he turned to face the action again, a wriggling mass of fur and claws caught his attention, and the pelts were all too recognizable...

302 jumped to his paws, he was just about to crawl into a den when the mass of growling Bison Pack wolves began to invade. He held back a yelp. Golden eyes flashed as he glared at an oncoming rival, the dark fur along his spine stood up, completely spiked, making him look less scrawny, something he had always appeared to be if he was a Canyon Pack wolf or not.

He was cautious to begin fighting, but would fight to the death against the mange ridden wolves that now surrounded the area. Yet, the group looked smaller, he swore there were more Bison Pack wolves than this. He glanced around once more, eyes flicking from one place to the next within seconds. That's when it struck him. They're here for Arrow! He wasted no time and sprint to her pitiful den, he didn't care if they were no longer connected, or that she hated him, he would never let Bison Pack wolves take her away from his watchful golden eyes.

Hediki was nestled with his mother, Arrow, soundly sleeping when he was suddenly awoken by viscous barks and growls. He kept his eyes shut as fear overtook him. A small whine escaped his throat as he tried to scoot closer, to feel more protected.

Takoni burst from the back of the group, adrenaline had taken it's course. He barked rather loud, making sure his presence was known. His well-muscled legs carried him forward with ease, but not as quick as he would have liked to go... He reached the camp right after Storm, watching as his alpha jumped on top of an unsuspecting male. He grinned, first hit, and continued forward, scanning for a wolf to tackle and distract. He spotted a wolf he didn't know, and took his chance in battle, leaping directly on the unaware rival.

((OOC~ Anyone is free to have their character attack 302, and be the wolf under Takoni's grasp, don't interact with Avikii or Hediki until I decide to))

Swift whined, whimpered and yelped. "Whats happening mother? Why does everyone look so angry and mad?" Her voice was frantic with worry and angst. She stood up and sat down, she wondered what was going on, yet she was too scared to venture much further from her mothers grasp. She backed up into her mother, her hind pressed up against Kaiser's side and her ears laid back.

Arrow heard the growls near, they almost sounded as if filled with blood lust. Her pelt stood on end, were the rouges back? Her fur prickled. Every part of her wanted to go out and defend her pups and fight them all herself. Part of her wanted to die while doing so. Despite her hopes, she was pessimistic and decided that Storm would never risk the Sky wolf's wrath on a night of the full moon. Especially after the fire, what more would he want to risk? Her eyes narrowed as 302 pressed himself against the entrance to her already small prisoners den, "Dont you think its already cramped enough with one wolf!" she growled at him, but briefly after he was attacked... Something oddly familiar hit her. The wolf was not familiar, not in the least, but.. She smelled like, like bison! Her heart leaped, was Storm really here? She stood up slightly to peer outside of her den.

Lightning, caught by surprise of the Bison alpha's attack, crumpled beneath his grasp. Fear coursed through him in the form of adrenaline. He was overwhelmed by the thick musky scent the alpha carried. He wriggled around, trying to get free, being trapped beneath another wolf was a death sentence, and he would not give up so easily. His fur was on end as he whipped around, twisting his body uncomfortably just to land a bite on Storm's ankle. He couldn't determine which ankle, but the boniness told him it was an ankle. He would take any bite he could get, and latched his teeth in, he bit down hard, as hard as he could.

Lightning had it under control, he was slightly unnerved that Avikii had come to his aid when there were others who could have needed his aid more. Lightning was a tactical wolf, otherwise he would have been lead warrior. He felt Storms ankle rip from his grasp as Avikii barreled into storm, his jaw ached and he swore he couldve lost a tooth for that. Nonetheless, help was help and he couldnt complain if it had nearly meant his life.

Arrow watched the horror before her eyes as the wolves battled it out. Two wolves she could not say she cared for very much. The fact that the tussling she wolf was bison, made her want to dive in to her aid. However 302, despite all she had come to beleive, she still cared for him, and that was something that would never stop. Yet it was also something, she would refuse to admit or show to anyone. She swallowed, standing over her pups protectively in the prisoners den.

Lightning had hardly a second to gather his thoughts when ryka crashed into him, he quickly found his balance as he spun on his heels. He twisted himself around to get a firm footing, yet it only made her grip more painful. However, he could only imagine the uncomfort of the position was mutual considering she would have to crane her neck to keep hold on his twisted scruff. He pulled himself low to the ground then pushed his body upwards with a great force that would make it hard to hold onto his scruff as the back of his neck slammed into the front of her muzzle.

Arrow glanced down at her pup beneath her, "Its ok love, the bison pack is fighting canyon. Everything will be okay soon." She promised the young pup, not willing to explain the complexity of the situation in such a time as this.

Crescent snarled angrily as 302 escaped her grasp as she chased him down again, leaping onto the smaller wolf and pinning him down tightly. She sank her teeth back into his flesh, biting as hard as she could. He wouldn't slip out from under her paws, not this time.

Magpie charged into the den. She could smell the faintest trace of Bison pack's familiar scent here, but it was almost overriden by the stench of Canyon. Maybe this was where the wolves she was meant to be rescuing were. What were their names again? Jetta and Arrow, was it?
"Are Jetta and Arrow in here?" she barked, scanning the makeshift den. She wasn't sure what the two looked like, so she'd have to rely on her question.
