A Sudden Frost (OPEN - Death Topic) [Finished]

((OOC~ Feeling inspired by the sudden change in weather here in CO This happens before the rescue topic))

For once, the dark furred alpha had remained inside of the alpha's den for most of the day. Not that he was lazy or that he was avoiding work. It was simply cold. A sudden light snow had taken on the valley, nothing too cruel though. The alpha glanced up, paw steps coming and going past his den. He heaved a sigh, deciding it was about time he got up and active. Avikii lifted to his paws, muscles trembling from being scrunched inside a den. He squeezed his lean body through the entrance, only to be greeted by cold air, so much for a thick winter coat, he thought bitterly. The thin layer of snow that covered their usually dusty clearing seemed to seep through his paw pads, his spinal fur quivered at the feeling, the feeling he had always hated.

Avikii began to make his way over to the den where the pups usually stayed, it was the most secure den within the den site, carefully dug out and adjusted to fit the needs of almost each pup. His main concern was how well the pups were doing with the sudden change in weather. The alpha prayed that none of them had caught any sort of fatal cough or illness. He peered inside the den, "Hello?" He called lightly, seeing the little faces of the pups who remained the warm confines of the den.

Hediki peered up at his alpha, he had grown quite a bit since his last interaction with Avikii. The older pup stayed quite though, it was so cold! He wished it was still early fall, or maybe it was, seasons were strange, and Hediki had yet to grasp that concept. He held back a whimper in protest to the cool air the dark colored alpha seemed to drag in with him.
