Storm let out a howl as he stood upon the Tallrock. This ceremony was much needed and today, Bison pack would have a new Beta. The Alpha sat down, licking his wounds from the battle that had only been a few days ago. As he waited for the pack to gather around, Storm looked to the sky, praying that he was making the right choice in a Beta.

Crescent poked her head out of the den. Another meeting? They hadn't had a lot of them lately, and she was curious as to what this one was about. She sat down up front. Like Storm, she also gave her own battle wounds a quick lick. They'd been healing well, but it would still be a while before they were fully healed. She turned her attention back to the Alpha,

With his wounds starting to become sore again and not wanting to waste any more time, Storm decided to continue with the ceremony. "After much consideration, I stand before you to appoint a Beta. Bison pack needs this and I'm positive in my decision," he started. "The new Beta will be Cresent. She has proven her loyalty as a Healer and I trust that she will serve the pack well, even if her life is put at stake," the Alpha barked and looked down at his pack, waiting for any objections. He knew that Cresent had already been given the high rank of Healer, but in all honesty, no one else was truly fit to be the Beta, not yet anyway.
Looking back to Cresent, he continued. "You will be resigning from you rank as Healer and I entrust that you'll make the right choice as to who will be the next Healer." With that, the Alpha made his way slowly and painfully off the rock to greet his new Beta.

Crescent smiled. "Thank you, Storm. I'll do my best to serve the pack, no matter what cost." She stood up straight, giving the alpha a respectful nod. Now, she'd just need to chose a Healer to succeed her. She had a few options in mind, but she'd have to think.
