Avikii glanced around his group, thankfully, of which only consisted of two subordinates. Glancing to 302, who had partnered with him in the patrol, he decided where the groups would head off to. "302, take your group north, try to see if there's any luck on the elk hunting grounds, then have the subordinates get used to marking borders. Don't forget to do it yourself though as well, rivals need to know that the stronger wolves are around too." He eyed the Casanova for a moment, then to Leafa, Elpis, and Kuno. He gave a curt nod, then turned to lead his group away.
After walking forward for a moment, the alpha turned and faced his pair. "We'll be heading south, towards the Little Butte." He glanced at Lily, knowing that the location was where he had found her. "We can hunt around for smaller prey, since the larger group is going to the elk hunting grounds, there should be a few hares around." He informed the younger wolves so they knew what to expect.

302 nodded, taking in his alpha's commands. Now turning to his own group, he spoke up. "You heard Avikii, let's go." The Casanova flicked his tail, and turned around to face toward the north.

Leafa looked North and started forward. She made sure that 302 would be in front, since she didn't want to seem like she was being dominant, considering he was he stronger wolf.

Elpis followed 302 and the others in her group. She kept quiet for now until she was required to speak. This was her chance to learn more about those whom she was with and how they might injure themselves in the future based on how they moved in the environment or interacted with their surroundings.
Kastor followed his father and nodded to each of his statements. "Should we be specific in which ones we hunt?" He questioned. He wasn't sure if they should go after the weak or predatorize on any he caught sight of.

Lily followed in the leader's footsteps and perked her ears when he mentioned going to the Little Buttue. It felt like just yesterday that she'd met the older wolf and was truthfully greatful for being taken in. The smaller wolf couldn't imagine her life with out this pack and was glad that she made the choice to leave the Tribe.

Avikii began to pad south, glancing up, he took in the sight of the Little Butte. He still wished the sloping formation could be part of his territory, but really, it was a good place to meet up. He turned again to eye Kastor and Lily, who followed quietly behind him. They'd be at the border soon, then the two could split up and hunt. The alpha looked ahead again, their scented border marks wafting towards him.
"Over this way," he beckoned, and lead the pair to the left slightly, he pushed through the tall grasses and sage until he found himself at the edge of the creek, of which marked the border. "This is the southern border, mark it well because it's the one that's closest to Bison Pack, let them know not to pass." He looked between them, then trotted slightly south to mark his own area of the border. Usually, the alpha's scent was plenty to drive off rivals.

302 was happy to be taking his small group of three wolves to the elk hunting grounds. They hadn't eaten elk in a while since the weather was cooling, and the Casanova looked forward to having the chance at such a tasty meal.
In a few more steps, the familiar scent of elk rolled across his nose. He lifted his tail to signal for the group to stop. Turning to face the subordinates, he began to speak. "We have to be extremely careful when choosing an elk to hunt down, look for either a calf or a weak cow." He doubted there would be any calves, but continued to speak. "First, sneak up on the and get close enough to jump out and get a good bite out of them before they start running." He instructed, flicking an ear and praying that they were listening. "We can tire the thing out by chasing it down."

Kuno trekked after 302, and the two other females, a new scent filled his nose and he assumed that's what elk smelt like.

Nodding to show that she understood what Avikii had said, she waited silently for him to mark the border. When he was done, her curiosity got the best of her and she had to ask a question that had been on her mind. "Do rouges ever try to cross the borders?" she asked, tilting her head. She couldn't imagine the pack wolves standing a chance against her father but even so, her new "family" was pretty big in numbers, so maybe it wasn't a big problem.
