Avikii awoke to a cool breeze drifting it’s way into his den, he slowly opened his eyes, letting out a yawn as he did. The alpha got to his paws, squeezing his body out of the den. He had been looking forward to this day for quite a while, the day his pups became an apprentice, Swift, Mari, and Kastor. He took a graceful leap up atop his den, settling himself before he lifted his muzzle to the crisp morning air to let out a quick howl.
He looked down, watching his pack mates gather. So many pups had been getting ranked up recently, their pack was growing, and he couldn't have been happier.

Swift perked her ears, she slowly climbed out of the pups den, she shook out her pelt. She twisted around to lick a rouge twist of fur on her pelt so that it laid flat. Her fur was constantly well groomed since she refused to play around in the dirt like the other pups, if only they knew how foolish they looked. She stretched out her lean body, a fair layer of fat had accumulated, just hiding her bones. It was obvious she ate well, but had no exercise. She peered out at her father, curious to what this meeting was about this time. What was so important that he had to shatter the sweet caress of her dreams.
Lightning took his place besides his alpha, sitting on the ground beneath him. He glanced around, watching as wolves gathered in a semi-circle around them. He took notice to the packs growing size, and unlike Avikii's obvious pride, he was a bit more realistic and started to wonder what would happen if the pack got too large? Prey would seem all the more scarce with mouths to feed. The more they would hunt, the more they endangered their own prey source for seasons to come.
Despite his concerns, he brushed them off and ignored his beliefs, now was a time to celebrate.
Ceiko padded over slowly, this was his first meeting, having an actual rank. His tail wagged with the slight satisfaction, this simple thought brought him.

Kastor's ears edged themselves upward at the sound of his father's familiar howl. A meeting is beginning to take place. He thought as he began to head towards the gathering site. His grey coat had become darker at the passing time and his personality more sly. Only time would tell who he would become. A strong male leader like his father, or a undeciding suitor like both his parents had become.

Mari opened her eyes as she heard her fathers howl. She looked around for a moment before pushing herself up, walking out of the den and over to her siblings. Plopping herself on the ground as she waited, starting to clean her pelt as she brushed some of the dirt off her fore paws.

Avikii watched as his offspring gathered around, he could guess that they might know what's about to happen, or maybe even not. He kept a neutral expression on his face, but on the inside, he was dying with pride. They were finally ranking up! He thought, holding back a smile.
"Today, three very special pups will be receiving the rank of subordinate." He paused, stealing another glance at the three. "Swift, Mari, and Kastor. Step forward." He barked, his tail held high with dominance and anxiousness.

Swift's ears perked, her tail wagged happily. Finally! She would be a subordinate. She took a bound forth, then paused, regaining her composure. She walked up to her father with her head high, yet despite her mature posture, her tail continued to wag and reveal to her excitement.

Kastor approached with a calmed posture. He took his place before his father and among his sisters to claim his evolution in the ranks. He couldn't help but take notice to Swift's emotional state as being shown in her movements and was brought to his own by it. He was happy to be there with the two of them and proud to be reaching this point in their lives together. He held his head high and strung a smile across his muzzle, one which he could not put away.

Mari perked her ears a bit, looking up at her father as her tail started to wag a bit. She stood up, happily following her brother and sister up to where Avikii was, sitting back down next to them. She looked over at her siblings, her blue eyes sparkling a bit as her black fur ruffled in the breeze.

Avikii smiled down at his pups, over joyed to be ranking them up. "From this day forward, until you receive an official rank, you three will be known as subordinates. Train hard, listen to the older wolves, and soon you'll find yourselves learning quicker than a sprinting hare." He dipped his head, offering respect toward the younger trio.

Kastor raised his head proudly and gave each of his siblings a little nudge on either side of him. He was excited to begin training with them.
