Leafa sat outside. She sat still almost like a boulder. Her golden fur quivered in the small breeze. It was actually quite warm outside, and it felt good. Leafa's wound wasn't completely healed. Her mind continued to return to that day when the cougar attacked. She shook her head slightly and sighed. She wrapped her tail over her paws and frowned. There was a slight throbbing at her side, but it wasn't quite as painful as it originally was. Leafa glanced around, collecting her thoughts.

Elpis went around camp, awaiting her lessons in healing. To pass the time, she figured she would make amends with the other she-wold whom she had met on bad terms with in the days prior. It was about time she introduced herself personally, so that she would be more than a name and a title to her.
At a quick glance, her sights fell upon Leafa, whom was sitting fairly stiffened. Elpis was silent in her approach, as she did not want to frighten her in fear that she may be in a daydream state, from which she could be easily started. "Hello?" She said quietly. "It is 'Leafa,' correct?"

Leafa turned her head to Elpis. She blinked and nodded.
"Yes, and you must be Elpis," Leafa questioned. Avikii had mentioned Elpis a few times. All she knew was that Elpis was training to be a healer. Leafa slowly shuffled around so she was fully facing Elpis.

Soba woke up that morning to cold air, he grumbled, got up, and padded out of his den, that he shared with all the other officially ranked wolves. He looked around the quite den site and saw Leafa, he kept his tail from wagging and calmly walked over. He looked at Elpis, then to Leafa, "hello," he greeted calmly. He had been looking forward to talking with Leafa.
Kuno saw Soba get up and walk out of his den so he decided to follow, he was pretty bored after all.

Leafa's eyes flicked over to Soba and she smiled.
"Hi there, Soba," she greeted. Leafa attempted to turn too quickly and she flinched in pain. Leafa straightened her posture again and sighed.

Avikii had been watching the small group of subordinates converse for a few moments now. He was slightly worried that if he got up and joined them they would get catious in front of their alpha, always aware that anything they did could upset him, when in reality, that wasn't true. Yet, the alpha stayed put, not truly having a reason to join them.

Just like Kuno, Hediki had seen Soba get up out of the common den and head towards the small cluster of wolves. He didn't have anything to do at the moment, so why not follow his fellow pack mate as well? The young brown male got up, shaking a few bits of snow from his pelt as he began to pad towards the group.

Soba watched as Leafa flinched in pain, "are you alright?" He asked, a bit worried, he couldn't help himself.
Kuno sat down at the edge of the group and flopped his tail on the ground beside him, silently listening in on the others wolves conversation.

"Y-yes I am fine," Leafa murmured, shifting to hide her side from view. She'd rather have it hidden for now. She didn't need her pack-mates to worry at the moment.

Avikii continued to watch from a distance, his dazzling blue optics focused on Soba, and how he was reacting with Leafa. He obviously likes her... The alpha noted, and began to feel that strange fizzy feeling in his gut again.

Hediki followed quietly behind Kuno, and padded up on his side, taking a seat in the shallow snow beside him. He glanced at Soba and Leafa, smiling a bit as he realized what was going on.

Elpis looked at Soba and back to Leafa. "I..I can try, but I'm afraid that I do not know much. Only simple things that linger in the back of my memory from when I was a pup and I had witnessed before coming here." So soon the others putting their faith in me. She thought. I wonder what they see in me that makes them think I deserve such instantaneous trust.
