Leafa stopped in her tracks and looked at Soba. Her breath was caught in her throat. What was she going to say? Her former pride and confidence dropped and she was left speechless. Leafa looked up again.
"I would love to," Leafa murmured, hoping her slight hesitation didn't discourage him in any way.

Soba let out a puff of air, watching as it swirled through the cool air. "That's great!" He couldn't contain his excitement. Of course though, they couldn't have pups yet, Leafa was still a subordinate, even if he was a warrior, they would have to wait.
