Adairis shrugged, "Maybe you're just as hungry as those wolves that are orange and brown and dirty and thin and horrendously scary... kind of like you." She described the cototes, muttering the last part under her breath.

Adairis flinched, she looked at him. However, she figured her odds were better with him then the undpredictable predators. She looked around a bit, she stood up, but favored her one paw which she hurt on her way down. She shook her pelt out and walked closer with her head low, ears back and tail tucked between her legs.
