Luna the Ruju Tribe pup leapt on top of a rock watching the plains over head. "What a beautiful view." she whispered. "I wish everyday was as nice as this." She turned around as a bush trembled making a rattling noise.

Killian padded around and stopped when he saw a pup on a rock. Just as he was about to go the pup, he heard the rattle of a bush. Not hesitating, he ran to the pup and stood in front of the rock to protect the young one.

"What is that?" Luna whispered not to anyone in particular. As soon a Killian came she silenced herself and waited to see what came out of the bush. A Puma leaped out and onto Killian.

As a Puma leaped out of the bush straight for him, Killian lunged to meet it and slashed his claws along its flank. Darting out of the way, he nudged the pup to go behind the rock and hide before the Puma attacked again. "Go! Hide before it gets up!"

Listening to the older wolf's words Luna guilty raced to little cave that she knew well and hoped that Killian could find her not the Puma. She whimpered silently to herself.

Killian stood his ground, knowing that since he was not an adult wolf yet it could be his last stand. Brushing off the thought of possible death, he bared his teeth at the Puma and taunted, "Come on, this way!" As he spoke, he began to lead the Puma away from the direction that the younger pup went.

Killian became afraid, but he pushed that fear down. Jumping at the Puma, he somehow landed on its face, and he tried to scratch it.

IC: Luna sat quietly now not whimpering or shivering as she knew that Killian was getting help. She blamed this accident on herself.

(OOC: Whatever you'd like to do Dawn. ^^) IC Killian saw the Puma trip and fall, and he immediately took this chance to attack. Lunging, he pounced on the Puma's back and began to rake his claws across its flanks and back. As the Puma yowled in pain, he knew that he may be able to chase it off. This thought cost him dearly; as he paused to think, the big cat reached over and swiped its claws over his left eye. Killian shrieked and closed his left eye, and he raked his claws over the cat's face. |

Killian fought for dear life against the Puma, his left eye bleeding pretty badly. Finally driving the big cat away, he limped back over to the younger pup. "Are you okay?" he asked her. "I officially hate Pumas now," he added as a joke.

"Yes." Luna replied weakly and timidly. The Puma had officially scared her mind for life but it cleared up a bit as he joked about hating Puma's. "Are you okay?" she asked worried about his continuously bleeding left eye.
