Another day, and the pack was growing stronger. Crescent knew this subordinate had been waiting for her ceremony for a long time.
She leaped up onto the boulder, and howled into the dusk to summon her pack.

Magpie shuffled out of her den, curious as to what the meeting was for. She took her place beneath the High Boulder and waited for the others to gather.

Seeing the wolf in question had emerged, Crescent began to speak. "Today, I call upon our ancestors in that I'm making the right choice to rank up one well respected subordinate of Bison Pack. Magpie, please step forward."
Me? Magpie bounded forward, not believing her own ears. I'm getting ranked up? A huge grin was plastered across her face.
Crescent smiled a little at her enthusiasm. Never a bad thing. "She has waited a long time to earn her true rank, and now, it is my honour to bestow it upon her. Magpie, by the power of the Sky-Wolves, I hereby give you the rank of Scout. With your enthusiasm, mobility, brains and desire to explore, I hope you serve your pack well."
With that, Crescent jumped down to greet the new Scout. Magpie had worked hard, and it was her time to shine.
Magpie's smile only widened as the alpha spoke the words. Was this really happening? She was an official rank now. A scout! "Thank you so much, Crescent!" she barked, delighted.
