Crescent had spent many a sleepless night agonising over this descion, and he could only hope it was right. The wolf she had chosen to be the beta, her second-in-command, was to be the future of Biosn pack, and she was confident that she had made a good choice. After all, without confidence in her choices, what would she be as a leader? The alpha let out a howl from the top of the rock, calling the pack.

Arrow pushed her way out of the den, she had spent most of her late evening resting until she would awaken for something to eat. She had gone out for a patrol earlier and done much training that day, but been unlucky with hunting. The she wolf feared she may have lost her sense of smell at times, but every once and a while she would catch the scent of something and become convinced of otherwise. Nonetheless, her sense of smell was undeniably damaged, all thanks went to Lightning of Canyon pack and his grip on her nose from the battle the day she was captured.
She took a glance up at Crescent, curious as to which subordinate was being ranked up. There weren't many pups in Bison already, and many were getting close to their Offical rank age, so she was quick to assume the wrong kind of ceremony. She took a look among the wolves to try and take a guess.

Crescent wasted no time in beginning the ceremony. "After much agonising over this decision, I stand before you all today to appoint a new beta, needed more than ever this winter. Bison Pack's new beta will be Ryka. She has proved herself time and time again as a loyal pack scout, and I feel she is most deserving of the honour. I am confident in her abilities to handle the responsibility that comes with being Beta, and I trust she will help lead our pack to greatness."

Ryka, surprised beyond compare stared breathlessly at her alpha. Storm had tried once to appoint her as beta, and now Crescent was? Wow, I must really be a valued pack-mate if this is happening again. She pushed her thoughts aside as she puffed out her chest and dipped her head. "Thank you Crescent, I will do my best to serve the pack and will stand proudly by your side"

Arrow watched, comming to be shocked to hear it was more a Beta ceremony instead of official rank ceremony. Not only that, but Ryka was to be the new Beta. She nodded grimly, so Storm was really gone. She shook the feeling off soon after and smiled happily towards Ryka, she knew her only a little, but it was obvious she was perfect for the spot.
