The cold of winter was upon them, each of the packs of Slough Creek. At this time, previously laid markings would be weak from the chilling area. Kastor sat in camp, looking up at the dark sky. The world above was becoming peppered with stars, but not yet fully as the sun had not fully set. The young male turned his focus onto the camp. Those rouges could come back at any time. He thought. We should relay the markings just to be sure they don't cross a line they shouldn't. With that he went in search of his father to request a patrol.

Swift yawned, she had just finished her meal, and about to head out to sleep, but found herself momentarily distracted by the stars..

Axolotl watched his step-siblings quietly in the dark. His amber eyes glowed as he stepped out and looked up to the stars. Oh how much he missed his father. Why did his family have to break up? Leafa and Soba were fine together! He let out a little huff of annoyance.

Avikii sat peacefully outside his den, Leafa was out at the moment, so he had the space for himself till she returned. He found himself with nothing to do lately, it had even been a while since he had been out of camp. He huffed, laying his head on his paws as he eyed the stars.

As he glanced about the den site, Kastor caught a glimpse of his father and began to approach him. "Father," he began as he neared him, "would you be up for a patrol at this moment?" He stopped and stood by him, awaiting an answer.

Avikii lifted his head at the sound of approaching paw steps, quickly identifying the wolf as his only son, Kastor. He then got to his paws and shook his felt free of dirt before the younger male got any closer.
"A patrol? That sound's nice." The alpha smiled, "I'll most certainly come along."

Kastor gave him a small nod followed by a smile. "Maybe we can ask my other siblings to join as well if they are up to it." He looked up at the sky and spoke,"it wold be a shame to miss out, especially on an evening like this."

Avikii nodded in agreement, "why don't you go ask them? I'll wait for you by the entrance." He suggested, and began to head toward the edge of the den site.

The young scout raised his head as soon as his stepfather agreed to a patrol. Axolotl leapt to his paws and carried himself to Kastor. "Can I come too?" He asked obviously about the patrol.

Kastor nodded to Avikii and began to look for his other family members. At the approach of Axolotl he gave a small grin. "Of course you can," he said. He wasn't as familiar with him as he'd wish to be and hoped to get to know him more on the patrol. "Have you seen Swift anywhere?"

Swift was about to head into the den, freezing, 'dang it.' She thought with a silent grunt. She had heard that there would be a patrol, and as a warrior, it was partially her job, yet she was exhausted from the day. All she wanted was to rest, but seeing as her father was going to lead, and Kastor was looking for her, she had no other option or it would look bad on her.
