Arrow finished up a hare that had been caught the day before, a hare was a rare catch for a bison wolf, and a decent snack to them. For their size, a hare was just sustainable for what they did on the daily among training, hunting and various other activites that built them stronger then the stringy Canyon Pack wolves.
She licked her muzzle and padded over to the newly appointed beta and the subordinate named Dawn, "am I too late to join?" She asked, almost frightened they would say no, even though it was so highly unlikely. The she wolf felt so outcasted in an environment she knew more then any other wolf...

Ryka looked up as the former omega approached them. She was glad to see Arrow as a subordinate now. "Yes of course you can join us." She said in a friendly tone and smiled. She then turned back to Dawn "we should get going." The beta suggested.

OOC: Dawn's a Young official rank. She's a hunter now.
IC: Dawn nodded and padded into the forest signaling Ryka and Arrow to stay silent and then padded around the trees. A scent of elk hit her nose and there it was, a medium sized body not very chunky but at least it was prey!

Ryka glared ahead as Dawn lead the way, fur prickling a bit as she kept her sharp gaze on her surroundings. "Dawn wait, " she said, lifting her tail slightly as the elk came into view. "That elk, it looks very frail and thin, that could possibly be caused by sickness." She warned, unsure if the elk was actually sick or not. but she had seen one before, and it had been thin, not to mention the canyon alpha had said they fought off a sickness, could that have been from the elk?

Dawn stayed silent but acknowledged the Beta with a flick of the tail. She didn't want to scare it away, "I know, but it's worth a try." She crept to the other side of the elk without making any disruptions and ending the conversation.

(Dawn, just an FYI, its in the rules that whatever rank you have prior to a thread, that is still the same rank not the new one. So if dawn was not OR'ed before this topic then she still isn't now.)
Arrow watched Dawn, she wondered why the young wolf was so eager to brush off the beta's warnings. It would be an easy catch, however the beta was right and had more experience. Not only that but she found it bothersome that the young wolf so easily seemed to disrespect the Beta. Arrow felt her muzzle twitch as she suppressed a growl. Nonetheless, she said nothing and awaited orders.

OOC: Yes she was a OR in late December at the time of the Gathering and then before the announcement she was a Experienced Hunter. Sorry for confusing you. Oh and she's in a bad mood. FYI she's training Alistair and Aspen for now.

Arrow looked to Dawn with confusion, she showed no sign of being angry, but simply obeying. As long as it wasn't her call, she didn't care if the sickness came to the camp. She wouldn't touch the elk and watch the rest get sick for all she cared. She had little connection to a vast majority of the pack and could hardly care if probability tilted one way or the other.

Ryka sighed, keeping quiet and watching with confusion as Dawn turned around and left the elk. It was a smart move, the thing did appear to be sickly, and as beta, she didn't want it to be her fault that her pack is sick. "We can find something else," she said quietly watching as she came back over.

"Okay then." The creamy she-wolf replied a bit calmer now. She padded off in the opposite direction giving no sign to follow. She sniffed the air for any sign of prey but picked up nothing.
