Leafa sat outside Avikii's den silently. The sky was dark and the stars twinkled. Her thoughts had interrupted her sleep so she decided to get some air. Leafa let out a breath and watched her breath billow away in a white mist. Her blue eyes glinted as she glanced around. She would have to talk to Avikii about her thoughts, maybe he'd agree. Then again, she did already have her own pups already... but it wouldn't hurt to-- no, he'd probably say no. Leafa didn't want to embarrass herself. It'd be awkward... Her nerves pulsed and she grunted, her ears flattening against her head. She'd tell him... She had to at least ask.

Avikii rolled over in his sleep. He had been slightly restless recently and tonight had been no better. So, the alpha opened his eyes, letting out a huff of slight annoyance. He then realized Leafa was missing, the male lifted his head, glanced around the den for a brief moment, then stole a look at the outside of the den. It took him just a quick moment to see his mate's slim figure sitting calmly outside.
What was she doing? Avikii got up, not bothering to shake the dust from his pelt as he pushed himself out of the den. "Leafa?" He started, now taking a seat beside her. "What are you doing up?" He cocked his head, smiling softly as he glanced over at her.

Leafa jumped as he sat down, whipping her head. She let out a small gasp of surprise.
"A-avikii... I couldn't sleep... I've been thinking a lot about us maybe having-- nevermind," she turned away, stumbling over her last words. Her body had gone rigid as nervousness washed over her.

Avikii just let his smile brighten at the sound of the surprised noise that escaped her muzzle, he paused when she trailed off. "I haven't been able to sleep well either," he chuckled slightly, then moved on. "You said have, have what may I ask?" He was confused, yes, but there was a small unaware part of him that could guess what she was referring to.

"N-nothing! Just forget I said anything... it's not important," she stammered. She shuffled her paws and glanced away from her mate again. She should just ask. Her body told her to do her, but her mind told her not to.
"P-pups," she whispered, hardly audible.

Avikii thought, "alright, I'll try to forget what you said." He replied, obviously, he would be unable to simply forget what she had started to say. Yet, after a long moment of pause, did I hear her speak again? And did I hear what I think I heard? The alpha turned to face his mate, his expression slightly more understanding.
"What?" He prompted, he wanted to make sure he heard her correct. "You're a little quiet." He said softly.

Avikii's breath caught in his throat. It was a question that caught him off guard, yes, but on the other hand, it was something he had wanted to hear. It would be nice to have pups with Leafa, now that they were officially together.
He remained silent, gathering his words. "Leafa, I'd love to have pups with you." He spoke smoothly, leaning over to lick her forehead.

His response surprised her. She was positive that he'd say no.
"W-what... seriously?" she asked, her voice filled with shock. She felt him lick her forehead and a smile grew on her muzzle in happiness. She leaned forward and nuzzled him.

"Of course I'm serious, I wouldn't of said yes if I wasn't serious!" He added, completely serious. "Now that Swift, Mari and Kastor have grown up, and Swift has her official rank now, I'd be good to have some younger pups around." He told her, smiling as she nuzzled him in response.

Leafa smiled softly and leaned against him happily. She was glad he had said yes. She wanted to have pups with someone that actually loved her... not saying that she didn't love her pups, but having pups with Avikii would be wonderful.
