Limping past the strong and recognizable scent markers that bordered the Tribe’s “territory,” he still couldn't believe this is where he'd ended up; fetching herbs for the rouge Tribe, a group of wolves that he's always despised, but somehow became one of them. Storm, the former Bison pack alpha who had once ruled the moorlands was now the Rūju Tribe pariah, malnourished and weak from his injuries. Early in the day, Titan, the Tribe dominant had decided to use Storm for battle practice. The older wolf had been given the task to let the cubs attack him and was barely allowed to fight back, unless he wanted to deal with Titan himself. Most wolves believed that pups were nothing more than innocence, but these pups, they were different and definitely packed a punch.
Their sharp teeth had dug into his ragged pelt and one cub managed to keep a tight hold on his forepaw. He could’ve fought back, but he wasn’t as young as he used to be and having a swarm of bloodthirsty younglings was admittedly overwhelming, plus the fact that he could never bring himself to injure a pup. Although this event wasn’t something that happened regularly, it did happen ever so often. Besides the fact that the Tribe was allowing Titan to do this to him made his fur bristle, what made him even more angry was the fact that he could tell that most of them found pleasure in watching him struggle and it wasn’t like any of them cared to help him with his wounds which he could barely manage to lick, and instead, they’d stood around him as he crouched down onto the frost covered ground, mocking him and throwing snide remarks, occasionally nipping at his hind and giving him a moment to rest. They might as well have just killed him, seeing how little they cared about his well being. Those foxhearts.
So now, he was forced to go gather some herbs as if he was a healer that knew everything, and to his dismay, they probably wouldn’t even let him have some and send him to the corner of camp, where he would sit alone and injured, without shelter to protect him from the crisp evening breeze and no one to talk to. Then, per usual, he’d watch as they feasted upon their prey and get the scraps, barely enough to call a meal. Is this what Arrow felt like when she was the Omega? No… he didn’t treat her this horribly, she still got food, and was definitely not used for battle practice.
He hated to admit it, but thinking about Arrow and the Pack... it hit him where it hurt. He’d left them for no apparent reason and the guilt from his unacceptable actions would forever haunt him. Why he’d left them in the first place, Storm would never know and now that he had the time to think about it without getting yelled at, he was even more curious as to what his motives had been. Was it because he had faith in Crescent to lead them? But even so… why would he just disappear?
Lost in his thoughts as he limped through the chilly evening air, Storm was snapped out of his thoughts when he accidentally stepped on a goathead. Letting out a yelp, the male lifted his paw from the ground and winced from the pain in his other paw that he was forced to put weight on, his injury from the cub sure to leave a scar. Whimpering softly, he looked around, wondering where he was supposed to be headed? Somewhere with herbs, obviously, but he didn’t know where herbs were and hadn’t been paying attention on the way here, which seemed like a pretty long way from the Tribe’s territory.
Now with two injured paws, Storm spotted the creek and decided to go there to dip his paws in the cool water and maybe even find some herbs or whatever. Slowly but surely making his way to the water source, he painfully made his way over the pebbled shore and dipped his front paws into the ice cold water. Sitting down with a huff, Storm hung his head low, enjoying how the water numbed his aching paws, one which still had the small thorn wedged into his paw pad. Why couldn’t I have just become a loner and lived peaceful life like this? he thought to himself glumly and that’s when it hit him, a strong yet familiar scent blew past him with the breeze.
Lifting his head, he looked around, ears perked and nose lifted. He’d been here before, he knew this place and quickly recognized where he was. Just across the creek from him was his old home, Bison Pack. Their territory markings were fresh, which told him that they’d just recently been around this area and a sense of relief flowed over him. The fact that they were still marking the borders told him that they were alright, and although he was overjoyed to know this, a sense of fear took hold of him. He was near their territory, what if they saw him? Well, they probably wouldn’t recognize his scent or even his appearance with him in this state, but even so, anything was possible and he needed to go before anything happened, especially if Titan found out, the dominant would have his hide.
Standing up, he let out a soft whine from the pain in his paws and turned around. As much as he wanted to stay, he couldn’t risk it, and needed to get away from this place. Limping towards the way that he’d came, tears filled the older wolf's eyes from the excruciating pain in his paws as he slowly wobbled over the cold, pebbled ground towards the thick grassed land. Hopefully his scent would disappear before any-wolf patrolled this area again.

(This topic is going to end me.)
Arrow was staring outside her den with a sigh. She was stuck with yet another restless night in the Subordination den. The Subordination den was where just about any wolf lower then Crescent, the pack's Alpha, was left to gather for the night's sleep. It was cramped, yet comfortable in an odd way. The den was cozy, warm and comforting. It was comforting just because she had endured such a hardship a few moons back, sleeping in one den to the next and left alone.
The she-wolf stood up slowly, picking her way around her fellow pack mates, whom had gathered in the den for a good night's rest. She pushed her way out into the cold crisp evening air. Her fur brushed around in the wind as it stroked her soft pelt. Arrow took a second to just stand there, to forget of the day's soreness and enjoy the soft, mellow breeze. She let her eyes fall closed against the night, her head tilted up towards the stars that littered they sky like pines littered the Bison Pack territory. She let out a soft breath, her eyes opening just to watch it billow through the air. She watched it spiral up into the air above before disappearing all together.
Arrow took a single step and flinched, she recalled her sore and aching muscles from the training she had done a day prior to. She had gone for a run, and not long after she had finished, she practiced a few battle tactics and then hunted. Her hunts were unsuccessful, which was not much of a shock for a Bison wolf trying to hunt alone so late in the Winter's bitter atmosphere. Today, however, she had gone out on yet another patrol rather then train. She took it easy and hoped that her sore and aching muscles would recover soon.
She shook out her pelt and decided that what she needed was a walk down to the stream. A nice cool drink of water would help to calm her mind for the alluring temptations of sleep, and relax her aching body. So with that, she decided she would head out, yet her paws almost felt magnatized to the den site's boarders. She wondered what it could be. Was it an odd force warning her, telling her to heed it's warning before she made a mistake by leaving? No, it was just simply the memories of being trapped as an Omega and a Prisoner. She had nowhere to go then, she could not even leave the premises of her own den other then to go make her dirt. She scoffed, cynical thoughts racing through her mind as she recalled the memories. However, she was not eager to let these memories get the best of her. She dismissed them quickly and set paw outside the den site. Slowly, but swiftly, she made her way for the Eastern Creek.
It seemed like such a peaceful night. The skies were clear, not a single cloud hesitated in the sky. The trees whispered as she passed by them, greeting her and the wind as they made their way down familiar paths. The tree's large massive bodies shaking back and forth as if to say hello, wishing her well along her way to the creek, wishing her a well night. Their dark fluffed figures loomed large overhead, but there was something about them that set such a calming tone. Perhaps it were because she had lived through the worst of it before. She had witnessed as tree by tree lit up with a ferocious angry flame. A flame so large, so hungry, it consumed everything in its path. That unfortunately, included some of her pack members. She frowned at the memory, however it was one so distant, it weighed little in compare to the recent trauma she had endured. She paused only briefly to shake out her pelt and shake away the memories. She had no intentions of thinking of the past.
The past was what had been keeping her awake. The past was what was haunting her dreams, haunting her present, and her future. She turned her attention again to the path ahead, trying to distract herself of the thoughts that ventured through her mind. She tried to ignore the memories that danced in her mind, even in such a late hour of the evening. She let out a soft yawn as she wandered down the crooked path to the creek, her paws aching and wary, as she stumbled every so often.
It was not long before the frail female had reached the small dip of a hill down to the creek where the water had waded between the land and created a small valley that divided the territories and made the border. She walked slowly down to the water's edge, oblivious to the one wolf she cared most about, was a short distance away from her. She stared down at the water as it waved and bounced back and forth in the shape of waves while it played with the wind. Something about staring at her broken reflection hidden in the shadows of darkness made her think. It made her think about the one thing that connected both the memories that daunted her life and dreams. Storm. She still could not comprehend his actions very well.
Questions quickly bombarded her mind like water rushing past the breaking dam of the beavers from the northern rivers. 'Why did he take so long to rescue me? Did he really mean what he meant, he didn't want me back? Did he just want my pups, and I just got into the mix? Is that why he had left so soon after my retrieval? Did he not have any respect for me? I understand I had been of a very low rank prior to my capture, but did I really mean that little to him?'
Doubts swamped Arrow's mind, breaking off pieces of her bit by bit. "Why must life be so cruel?" She wondered out loud before lashing out at the water, and at her reflection for drawing up such questions in the first place. Water droplets sputtered all around, bouncing over each other before collapsing all together in the rippling water below as if nothing had even happened at all.
Arrow let out a pitiful whimper of pain, a pain different then what Storm was experiencing. She felt the world tug at every thing she cared about, at every little heart string until the ties of her heart left the fort to collapse all together. Her sanity, or her life, there was no telling which would go first at such a rate as this. Arrow let out a soft howl, one that was low and sad, but only audible to those within a fair range. The she wolf howled out her sorrows, sitting there as a quite vulnerable target to those who lurked through the night.
[EDIT]
After a few passed minutes of despair, she shook out her pelt, how pitiful and dumb she must look. She stood up to her full height on all four paws and went to take a walk to put her mind to rest once more. She padded slowly along the rivers edge, watching the reflections of the stars, moon and sky above dance in the rippling water's reflections. As she moved, she suddenly saw an odd silhouette in the water before her. She paused and tilted her head, it didn't look like the rest of the surrounding brush to the river. She glanced up to see if she could match an object to the figure, and she found it was a wolf. It was a wolf she did not expect to see in the least. Storm.
Arrow looked over at the once bulky, strong, proud male she had looked up to and saw nothing but his hollowed shadow of lost pride. It was a sight she never thought she would see again, one so similar to her own which she had seen only once in her own reflection. She swallowed the words and wonder caught in the back of her throat. "Storm," she breathed out, it was the only word she could manage. She stared over at him in wonder, her heart racing and her stomach upside down.

Slowly walking away from the river and limping from the pain in his paws, Storm let out a shrill yowl when he stepped on a stone that made the thorn in his paw dig even farther up it. Falling to his knees, he fell onto his side and craned his neck in attempt at spotting the sharp little goat head, but had no luck. Great, just great. Not only was he starving, but he hadn't found any herbs and now he had to trek across the land with two bad paws. Just his luck.
Letting out a huff, the male stood up, letting out a whimper as he lifted the thorn filled paw into the air, but before he was able to get very far, the sound of an oh so familiar voice hit his ears. Stopping dead in his tracks, he lifted his muzzle, attempting to catch the wolf's scent, but unfortunately, the wind's direction put him at a disadvantage. Luckily for him, besides his injuries and condition, his hearing was still pretty exceptional and his heart practically stopped beating when he figured out who's voice it belonged to.
"A-arrow?" the older wolf gasped hoarsely, snapping his head around. Sure enough, there she was, looking at him from across the river, eyes wide and a confused look on her muzzle. Although running into anyone but the tribe was a blessing, she was honestly the last wolf he wanted to see at the moment. Well, so much for getting away before anyone spotted him.

Arrow took a defencive stance, her fur was prickled with the agressive intentions of chasing him away from the Bison Pack boarders. He was no more then an outcast. He was a traitor to his whole pack, now that he was with the tribe. Yet, her body also trembled. She shook and trembled from the confusion she felt of why he left, why he put her as an omega. She shook from the ache in her heart and the pain in her gut. She trembled from the reminder from his simple appearance, that he was still her Alpha. He was still her Alpha, somewhere in her heart. Her ears laid back as she searched his gaze for some response.
Without hesitation, she launched herself into the river. At that particular bend, it was not its thickest, so she made it across quickly with the head start her leap gave her. As soon as she was across, she pulled herself from the cold waters grasp and looked to the male with a growl. Her growl, however, was short lived as she felt her stomach twist up into knotts. She took a step forward, then back, hesitating with her front paw in the air. She tilted her head not sure what she should be doing.
She watched him for a brief moment, he was right. She didn't have any idea of where her loyalties lay. Yet he was wrong before, about with whom. 302 was a mistake. Storm was her Alpha, and that was not a title so easily removed or forgotten from her heart or mind or any others. She just hoped that trusting him, would not be a mistake. Her ears laid pressed against her head as she weighted the possible punishments she would serve if her pack knew of their encounter, however, she decided that she would just do whatever she could so they would not find out. She took a step forth once more, her head strained out towards him.

Watching Arrow cross the river so suddenly took him by surprise and he felt as if he couldn't breathe. What did she think of him, seeing him in such a unfortunate state? Was she coming to attack him, to drive him off the territory? Had she even forgiven him for what he'd done to her?
Thoughts and questions raced through Storm's mind as he stared at the she-wolf who soon enough, stood a coyote length in front of him, pain and anger in her eyes. All that he'd put her through, all the embarrassment, all the hungry nights alone as the omega, he was the reason for her suffering, and now, he was going through what she had, but worse. Someone could probably call this situation karma, and now that he thought about it, he deserved it. Arrow and her pup, they'd deserved more than that, but his pride had gotten the better of him. Storm never wanted to admit his feelings for the younger wolf, and for that, he was a coward.
He'd left the pack because of his pride, some alpha he was. He'd lasted so long, made it so far, only to suddenly leave them because of the fear that his true feelings might get out? He was pathetic!
Now, the love of his life who knew nothing of his deep emotions towards her stood in front of him, confused and probably angry. With pain in Storm's eyes from his inner feelings and his paws, he stayed quiet, leaving only the sound of the river and their breathes to occupy the air. What in the Sky-Wolve's name was he supposed to say? "Oh, sorry not sorry that I left you, I just couldn't let anyone see my soft side," he thought sarcastically to himself as the two wolves stood face to face.
It shattered him as he looked in Arrow's eyes, noticing the way that she looked to him. Well, he... he had to say something, anything for that matter, and although so much could've been explained, only one thing needed to be said. Leaning forward, Storm slipped his muzzle past her's so that their heads rested side by side.
"I'm sorry," the low voiced wolf whispered ever so softly into the she-wolf's ear, his head pressed against her's as he embraced her sweet, Bison pack scent, momentarily forgetting about the pain in his paws. No matter how much he could've gone in depth and given her a speech, those two words said it all, and from the bottom of his lonely and beaten heart, he meant every syllable.

Arrow suppressed a flinch in response to the gentle contact between their heads. She felt her breath caught in her throat, but soon her heart came to speed and she let out a soft shaking warm breath of air. She felt such an odd sudden sense of relief flood over her. Her body trembled just slightly with the calm and relief and slight touch of cold. She pressed her head to his, shifting slightly as she felt her pelt rub against hers. She took in a slow breath, breathing in the slight scent that was recognizable as his. His and only his, no matter how deep beneath the scent of the tribe it may lay. "I.. I.." She tried to respond, but couldn't find much of a will to.

For the few moments that their gentle embrace lasted, Storm had never felt more alive. Her sweet scent against his rugged and stale one, her slim stature and groomed pelt, compared to him, she was practically a Sky-Wolf sent from above.
Stepping back, their gazes met, and he probably could've stayed quiet, simply looking at her beautiful muzzle forever, but upon putting pressure on the paw that still had a thorn wedged in it, he let out a shrill yelp and sat down on his rump, lifting the paw above ground. Looking up to Arrow, Storm's ears fell flat on his head when he realized how pathetic he must've looked since they last time that she'd seen him, fit, well fed. Now, he was nothing more than a bag of bones and lost pride, with nothing else to live for.
"I'm also sorry you have to see me like this," the dulled russet furred wolf mumbled softly, turning his eyes away from Arrow's and looking to the ground, hoping that she wasn't able to sense his embarrassment or fear scent.

Arrow took a step back at his yelp. She tilted her head as she watched him, her ears laid back, pity glossed in her eyes. She took a step forth and pushed her head into his scruff, "lay down." She told him, her head pressed to his neck as if she wanted to push him over, but she provided very little strength in it. She half did it just so she could help him but as well half so she could be close to him. Her heart pounded in her chest, thudding hard with happiness. She knew she shouldn't be so happy, for all that he had done to her, to the pack. Why did she still love him? It was a question she could never find an answer to. She also knew she should not be out here with him, but something about it all just made her want it all so much more.

Lifting his head to meet Arrow's gaze, he sat as stiff as a statue, his heart racing as she moved closer to him. When she pressed her head close to his, the larger wolf lifted his lip as if he was about to let out a nervous snarl, but stayed quiet. He could trust her and if any wolf wasn't to be trusted, it was him. The fact that she used such gentleness with the former alpha proved that there was still something between them, and although he wasn't about to show it, his once downcast and broken soul was jumping with joy.
Upon her gentle nudge, Storm flopped over onto his side so that his paws lay in front of Arrow, and after casting one last glance at the she-wolf, he laid his head down onto the soft grass bellow. Sniffing the grassy earth, he let out a huff, his bony, faded russet side rising and falling with the deep breathe. "So, uh... how has pack life been?" the low voiced male asked softly, not looking to Arrow but instead keeping his eyes pointed forward with his head still laying on the ground. After leaving the pack, it was so terribly hard for him to ask such a question, but after some thought, it was honestly the only thing he wanted and was somewhat desperate to ask.

Arrow watched him as he flopped over, she paused only a moment to observe him before bending over to look at his paw. The one that he favored. She bent over to take a look at his paw, taking a gentle lick at it to see how much it hurt him so she would have an idea as to how deep or bad it was. She paused before continuing to glance up at him when he asked her a question. "It's been fine, I'm rather surprised you even care," she responded coldly, her mind flashing back to events where he had let her down multiple times. She watched him shortly for a reaction, but since she couldn't see his eyes very well, she took no hesitation to rip the prickly goat-head from his paw.
She took a few steps back and spat the prickly plant remain off to the side. Her tail flicked almost as if itself were restless. She shook her pelt only slightly before sitting completely down and wrapping her restless tail over her paws. She stared off to the side with a firm gaze, her mouth pressed into a thin line as she seemed to refuse any further speech towards the male. Yet despite her bitter and anger filled attitude, her ears were pressed against the back of her head. It was a clear tell that despite the tone in her voice, she was only doing it out of the pain she felt. A pain that wasn't so easily fixed as removing a small prickly from a paw.

Slightly lifting his head to look back at her when she replied, Storm's heart dropped when her ice cold words hit his ears. Laying his head back down, he resumed looking ahead, although it wasn't much of a view with the grass clouding his vision. Twitching his paw when she licked it, Storm let out a sigh, wondering what to say. She definitely had a point, he shouldn't have cared, but who was he kidding, his heart would always be with his true pack, even if he didn't want to admit it.
"Well, I-" letting out a shrill yelp from a sudden shock of pain that had been sent through his paw, Storm jumped up and lifted his paw to his muzzle so that he could lick it. What in the Sky-Wolve's name...
Looking at his paw, the thorn was gone and a small trickle of blood dripped onto the ground. Huh, looks like removing it was easier than he'd anticipated, even though it's left his paw pad a little sore. Turning his eyes up to Arrow, he was so ever greatful for her help, but being his awkward, antisocial self, didn't know the best reply to her doing. "Uh, thank you," he spoke, his lips quivering at the words.

Arrow looked at her paws, "yes yes don't mention it." She huffed, her eyes flicking away to the opposite of him. Her voice sounded strained, each word choking to come out, especially as she spoke.
"So why are you even still here? You left Bison pack, and you are a traitor," she paused to try and clear her throat of the tightness it held. However, it was no use. She continued softly, "I could have easily been any other wolf, any other wolf that would not even hesitate in the least to chase you away if not kill you for all you have done against us." She felt a soft airy breath of a whimper escape her muzzle.
Her tail curled tight against her body as she crouched down over her paws. Her eyes stared down blankly as she awaited the likely silence she would get from him, and then the more likely scenario in which he would take his leave. She curled tighter and tighter, withdrawing into a small ball. Her body tucked into itself so tightly that she appeared almost as weak, as scared, or as innocent as any lost pup might. It was such a bizarre state. As she spoke so harshly in defense of herself, but was clearly breaking down on the inside. Her walls were crumbling, crumbling at the paws of someone who had broken her heart time and time again. Even still, she could never bring herself to harm him or even wish ill will upon him.

Listening to Arrow, the male kept his eyes down towards his paws. Since everything she said was true, he shouldn't have been hurt by it, but no matter how hard he tried to stay strong, his heart kept slowly melting. Every thought and memory of Bison Pack made his stomach turn, even though it was more than evident that all of those horrible feelings were because of him. But how in the world was he supposed to reply to that?
Finally ready to reply, he swallowed his fear and looked up from his paws to see Arrow crouching down, looking like a helpless pup. Seeing her in such a vulnerable state made him want to curl up next to her and comfort her, and just as he had been ready to speak, he felt his throat tighten up again. No. He needed to get his thoughts out, and that meant that he needed to stay strong, or at least seem like he was doing so.
Clearing his throat, Storm sat up a little straighter and cleared his once sorrowful expression from his face. "It wasn't my choice to come back, but I was looking for herbs and I..." the older wolf started, his voice slowing to a mumble before he was able to finish his statement. "I... just kind of ended up here," he finished softly, becoming even more confused than before. Was this the doing of the Sky-Wolves? Were they still watching over him, even after he'd left his pack?
Although he didn't want to believe it, the idea wasn't impossible and part of him was scared that it might be the case. Had they brought him and Arrow back together for a reason?
Questions racing through his head, the deafening silence settled between the two wolves as Storm thought about what he'd just said. As much as he didn't want to and wasn't very good at this sort of thing, he knew that he needed to clear things up, and at this point, telling the truth wasn't going to hurt anyone.
"Listen, I know that you have every reason to hate me," he started, looking down to Arrow and not letting his gaze leave the she-wolf. "And I understand that suddenly leaving the pack was wrong, but it's not like I planned to meet you here. In fact, the last thing I wanted to do was see you of all wolves," the older male spoke, unable to realize that saying something like that might have hurt Arrow's feelings. "But now that I'm here... maybe, just maybe, we were guided to each other on purpose," he finished, feeling as if a lump was stuck in his throat. Boy did he sound crazy. Completely forgetting another serious issue that he should've included, thus failing to add in his apologies about the way that he'd treated her, Storm perked his ears ever so slightly, wondering how she would reply.
Well, even if he had remembered that oh so important topic (that he very much didn't want to discuss), it wasn't like he was going to share his feelings over that particular matter, even though it was probably what she'd wished to hear from him most.

Arrow's ears perked up under his last few lines of words. She felt choked with the pain. She felt choked with the tears. She felt choked by the sorrow, the meloncholy, the defeat. She found herself looking across the ground with her heart pounding in her chest. She felt a whimper start to brush past her lips, but she quickly changed it into a growl. She stumbled to her paws, nearly tripping over herself as she walked backwards to rise to her full height. Even at her full height, she was not the tallest of wolves. Her tail swayed only slightly, but it stayed low, stuck out beneath her with the tightness in her gut.
"I-I..." She stuttered, then shook her head, her voice a growl. "I'm the last wolf you want to see?" Her growl was not as threatening as she tried to be. Her voice cracked with the ache of it all. Her body shook just slightly. She could not believe what she was hearing. She thought she could trust him, she thought there was more to him then what every other wolf had seen.
"I thought you..." she trailed off her voice half snarrel, half whimper. "Were different," she finished, more under her breath then anything else. Her body shook and swayed, she swung her head back and forth with the confusion of it all. She was at a loss for words.
All that she wanted now was for him to just tell her it was not what he meant. She wanted him to just embrace her. To tell her he was just saying that so he could live with himself, to think that if he died, he would not have to worry about the agony those who still cared about him. She wanted to think that there was a reason, a logical reason behind it all. She wanted to believe all the fantasies in her mind were true. However, the bliss of it was all too much. It was too much for a wolf like her. Too good to be true.
As he spoke, each word just seemed with every word he was pushing her further and further into herself. She did not know if she wanted to just give up and cry or fight out her anger on him. She did not even have the most vague of ideas of what she should do. So she just stood there staring down at the ground, because she could not even meet his eyes.
Broken.

When she spoke, Storm soon realized what he'd said might have not been the best thing to say, but it was the truth. In coincidentally meeting up with Arrow, too many memories and emotions had returned to his mind, most of which he would've rather not brought back to the surface of his thoughts. But of course, it was just his luck that out of all the wolves in the valley, the two of them had been reunited once again. But when she stated something about thinking that he had changed, it left him suddenly confused.
She didn't think he was different? The warm and fuzzy feeling that he'd felt towards the she-wolf started to turn into anger, and his blood started to boil as he began to lose his patience. Was she blind? Could she not see the circle of pain and guilt that he was eternally trapped in? Storm wondered to himself, honestly a bit taken aback by her comment. Looking down to the female with an ice cold glare, the older wolf's tale lashed back and forth.
"You thought I was different?" he huffed, trying to control his building anger. "Arrow, look at me for the Sky-Wolve's sake!" Storm barked, his breathing speed increasing as he got more and more worked up. "I'm a prisoner of the Tribe; starving, bruised, and beaten. I left my pack for who knows what reason, and everyday I wake up with the never ending guilt that I abandoned my pack... my family," he stated, sorrow replacing his anger as he relaxed his tense muscles and let his shoulders hang. "So why do you accuse of not being different?" the male asked, practically begging her for an answer.
OOC: btw, we might have to say that this happened just recently instead of the actual date the topic started, seeing that a lot has gone on since it started ><

(Aight)
Arrow flinched with shock cowering back as he quickly took on a hostile tone. Her heart quickly started racing with fear. She was again the prey of another wolf. She was again the awaiting victim of another crime. Her eyes were wide with terror just briefly as he spoke. She could hardly manage to meet his eyes. Why did she still obey him though? Why did she still do what he said? It was not like he had any authority over her in the least.
Her gut twisted as she listened to him. It only seemed fair to her that he were suffering. He left it all. He left them all. He left us all. She felt tears well up in her eyes again, but she batted her eyes quickly. Blinking them away, as if she still had some dignity left to care if he saw her so torn. 'He left me,' she thought to herself pitifully. Her tail seemed to tuck almost instinctively. The night was definitely one of confused emotions. A night of torn loyalties. A night of forgotten prides.
She glanced back up to him again as he concluded his confusion, his tone softer now. She felt just slightly more free to speak then she had in moments past. However, she still could not bring herself to meet his eyes. As she began speaking her mind, she even found it difficult to keep a level tone. She sat down, her forepaws close to her body and her tail curled tightly around her. The young she wolf again looking so frail and fragile. As her words accompanied her appearance, she seemed as if she were about to shatter.
"You are not different... You are not different because you are just another self serving male. You care only about yourself. You think little of what would happen to those around you." She paused only briefly before continuing, "You did not stop to think even once what your pack thought. Did you never think about what they would feel waking up the next morning to find their Alpha was gone. That he was gone after so valiantly [or so it had seemed] lead a patrol to retreive a stolen packmate. Did you ever stop to think what those who actually cared deeply about you would feel? You find pride only in yourself and you stubbornly stick to that." She shook her head, her words becomming more and more strangled. "You have as much freedom to venture as far as your old packs boarders. I would not call that the freedom of a prisoner. I could not even leave what little saftey I had of my 'so called den' in the canyon pack. It was hardly even a den, instead it was simply a pile of sticks and leaves and moss that was just enough to cover my body. I could not even lay comfortably without threatening the total collapse of that den. I was stuck in there day in and day out. I was supervised constantly and only allowed out briefly to make dirt or to eat the scraps of another wolf." Her words were bitter with the pain. "If you had any true pride, you would have taken something from that regret. You would have returned to your pack no matter the sentence. You would have at least left Slough! Anything is better then being part of that mangy tribe. You are nothing more then a traitor for the sake of your own pride. Your own stubborn pride."
She scoffed shaking her head. "I just wanted to believe that perhaps you were true. That you were an Alpha that actually cared about those under your rule. That you cared about those who followed you as blind as it may be. I thought you actually cared. Even when I was stuck in that camp for what? Two moons? Three moons? I thought you would come for me even after I heard the roumor that you would not come for me. I risked a chance at happiness to escape." She paused at the thought of the wolf who had brought her Jetta. Something in her seemed convinced if she had not tried to leave, then perhaps she could have even been adopted into the pack. "But I wanted you."
She could not bring herself to say anything more, the words ringing over and over again in her ears. She said it.
'I wanted you...'

Listening to her speak once more with a sort of nervous sorrow in her words, Storm stood where he was, watching as she didn't dare meet his gaze. The longer he listened, the more he wanted to cover his ears and let out a cry from the truth that she spoke. All that he'd done... all those battles, the rescues, the kills, he'd only ever done it for his reputation, "the fierce alpha of Bison Pack, ruler of the moors." But after Arrow had been captured, all of his hopes and dreams had been flushed down the drain.
Leaving Arrow with Canyon Pack was obliviously a mistake, and the guilt from doing so still clung onto his pelt like the weight of water clinging to his fur after jumping into the cold river. Was he supposed to rescue her and submit to Avikii's rules, or stay strong and not let any wolf get to him? Back then, the only thing he'd known was to keep his power and reputation high, but now, it was clear that what he'd done in the past was a huge mistake, one that had hurt his pack. He would've never guessed her true feelings on this whole matter, and when she said something about wanting him, it struck him like a lightning bolt to the heart.
"Arrow," he started, trying not to choke on his words. He needed to stay str- No, there he was again, trying to be proud and emotionless. She'd said her part, and now it was his. He had no choice but to tell her the truth, and knew that he needed to do it; to just let it out. Besides, it wasn't like he had anything to lose anymore, right?
"When I was the alpha of Bison Pack, all I wanted to be seen as through the pack's eyes was a powerful, confident alpha, one that didn't take no for an answer or let Avikii get the best of me," Storm started, preparing himself. What ever he was about to say was going to be the truth, and he wasn't going to stop himself from saying any of it. "Leaving you with Canyon Pack was the worst decision I'd ever made, but I couldn't let the pack see that. I couldn't be seen as weak or unequipped to lead the pack, I just couldn't. Even when you came back to us, every night after that, when I laid in my den, I kept wondering if doing all those things was the right choice, and even if my conscience started to get the better of me, I pushed it away, because yes, my pride kept getting the better of me," he continued and took a deep breath.
"Arrow, I love you and always have. I'll admit that I was a fool, for a lot of reasons, and now I know why I left the pack." 'Great Sky-Wolves, give me strength,' he prayed silently, not letting his gaze leave the female's cowering body. "I left the pack because of you. Although I've always tried to tell myself that I did the right thing as alpha, I knew deep down that the pack despised me, that you despised me for what I'd done, and I couldn't live with that. I left because I was scared that my pack mates wouldn't want me as their leader, the wolf who gave no mercy to Arrow, a nursing female and pack mate in need. I left because I-I..." the russet colored male stuttered for a few moments, looking down to his paws and then back to the she-wolf who sat in front of him "... was scared to face you," he finished softly, and he as if a weight had lifted off of his shoulders.
"Arrow, I'm sorry for what I did, and I know that you have every right not to forgive me for how I treated you," Storm added and looked down to his paws. Apologizing like this was one admittingly one of the hardest things that he'd done, but he'd said what he'd wanted to say, and whether she accepted his apology or not, part of him was still glad that he'd gotten it all out there.

Arrow felt tremors run through her body. Every inch of her being wanted to launch herself at him, to remind him what it meant to have been a Bison pack wolf. He was a coward. A coward! She wanted to scream it out to the highest of the heavens. She had yet to comprehend how he could call himself a Bison Alpha at any point, and be such a coward now. Was it not the Bison pack way to be so fearless, to be so ruthless, to let nothing stand in your way? Not even a single emotion? It was something that she knew she had come to live by, however, the more that she thought about it, the more she questioned if it really were the Bison way. The more and more that she thought of all the values that she had learned in life, none of them fell under Bison Pack's teachings. Everything that she had once made herself to be, they were nothing but old values of a foreign pack. She took a second to rethink her position. Perhaps what he had done was suitable, fair to his pack, even if she saw it as cowardliness.
She looked up at him as he drew to a close in his words, and then down to her paws. No, she could not see him as a coward. She could not let herself. She could not let herself see him in such a way just like she could not bring herself to attack him. Her ears folded back as she looked up to him, her shoulders slumped. She walked slowly over towards him. With no warning, she pressed herself up against his chest. She seemed quite small in comparison to him, even as thin as the two of them were. The two once strong and healthy Bison wolves, now nothing more then the mere shells of what they had once been in days past.
"I don't want to think. I don't want to think about it anymore. What it means to be Bison. What it means to be Canyon, or Ruju or anything else. I don't want to think any more of the past. I don't want to think of any of that. I just want now, and if I must think. Let it be about the future." She said softly, rubbing her face into his chest affectionately, her tail brushing across his flank. Her words holding their sorrow at first, but ended in simplistic remorse, and a longing for something new. The future. Nothing more then a subtle hint, that her actions only further proved.

Standing stiff and not moving a muscle, Storm found it hard to breathe when she pressed up against him once more. Her soft words touched his ears like the wings of a butterfly and although he'd been extremely tense just moments ago, Storm's whole body soon felt like mush when he accepted her embrace. Lowering his head, Storm wrapped it around the smaller she-wolf who was still pressed up against his chest. "Arrow, I love you. I want to live by your side for the rest of my days, but with the Tribe... it's not possible. I have no where to go if I suddenly leave them, and I'm not willing to put you in danger," he spoke softly. It pained him to admit that there was no escaping the Tribe's grasp, but it was true, and there was no getting around the fact. "But at the same time, I don't want to give up so easily," the male said with a sigh and closed his eyes to take in her soothing scent. OOC: aahhh yes. Click Me

Arrow pressed her ears against the back of her head in attempt to block out such hideous words, that he could not escape the tribe. The complications, they were not something she wished to think about in the moment. She did her best to forget them and think only of his soft fur. To think of his tall build and firm structure that lay beneath his fur (despite the fact he was quite thinned out from the treatment that Ruju had bestowed upon him within the recent moons). She pressed her head closer into his fur, her tail flicking up and down against his side lightly. She wished that there did not have to be any complications and instead that they could stay there forever. She wished that she could be a part of that blissful moment for all eternity, but the reality of it was different, she would have to leave. There would be a moment when they get caught, or they have to decide to finally leave.
She knew though, that the moment she would leave his side, she may as well never see him again. She may get caught up in the pack life, and find it hard to even sneak off to see him during the lonely nights. If it were even possible. Her heart yearned for a simpler world, but it just wouldn't be. Then a horrid thought struck her, what if she never never saw him again, then she may forget him all together. Her eyes flickered back and forth frantically in that moment of silence. "I don't want to forget you!" She suddenly burst out softly. She looked up to him, with a yearning on her face.
"I don't want to forget you," she echoed trying to think of any way she could see to it she could always have him with her.
"I want pups,"she said out loud as she looked at the ground. Her voice was soft, below a whisper, but just hardly audible enough. Her eyes flicking briefly back towards his for his reaction.
