(( OOC~ Needed participants! - Leafa Shade Phoenix ))
Avikii had found himself sitting with Leafa in the nursery for the past day at the least, either sitting in peace or wandering out of the den to walk of his anxiety. His first litter of pups had grown to gain their official rank, well Swift and Kastor at least, Mari still had some learning to do. The alpha smiled to himself at the thought of his offspring, they had grown up so fast, he almost forgot what it was like to have smaller pups around, part of the reason he was looking forward to the pups with Leafa. The pair had each already experienced pups, so the male guessed this round would be perfectly fine. The dark-pelted male sat in silence beside his beloved mate, waiting for a sign of anything out of the ordinary. |

Leafa had been asleep when the pain hit her. Her head shot up and she let out a sharp hiss of agony.
"They're here" She snapped through gritted teeth. Her jaw clenched tightly as she tried to relieve the pain in any way possible. [/font][/font]

Avikii snapped his attention toward his mate, jumping to his paws quicker than a flash of lightning. He turned his head, giving Leafa a soft lick on the cheek before heading out of the den. Elpis was nowhere to be seen, he quickly began to wonder if this would be like his first set of pups, where Elpis had been out gathering herbs during the birth.
The alpha ducked back into the den, he had taken the time to grab a sizable stick. The male set it before Leafa, nudging it toward her.

Leafa locked her jaws around the stick and it made a sharp cracking noise. Leafa shut her eyes and hoped for the best.

Leafa lay on the ground, panting and exhausted. Three new-born pups were now in the small nursery with her and Avikii. She closed her eyes and took deep breathes to calm her nerves.

Avikii watched as the event went down, he was in awe, of course though not as much as the first time. The alpha knew what to do this time around. He laid by Leafa's head, giving her an occasional soothing lick to the cheek with every wave of pain.
Then, soon enough, three healthy pups lay wriggling on the ground, their fur damp and eyes shut, little ears still plastered to their tiny heads. He turned to Leafa, a soft smile spreading across his muzzle. "Congratulations, we've got three more." He mentioned happily, his tail thumping lightly on the ground as he moved to nudge the pups closer in their mother's direction.

The dark-tan-pale pup(Avika) started to move around trying to find Leafa's belly, finally she find it and started to drink milk.

Leafa gave a small smile and she licked each pup on the head gently.
"Would've been easier if Elpis were here, but I think we did good," Leafa murmured, lifting her head to look at Avikii.

A Black and tan pup that would soon to rise to be known as Dakoi squirmed and squeaked struggling to find his mother's soft flank. The little pup settled against her warm fur as he began to suckle.

Avikii turned to Leafa, nodding his agreement. "They need names." He reminded, casting a glance down at the little tan one, who looked more like her mother. "I always thought the name Avika sounded nice, it's like a combination of our names almost." He gave her muzzle another lick, smiling. "Why don't we give it to the little tan female? She looks a lot like you." The alpha suggested, casting a glance down at the pups again. "As for the others... Have any ideas?"

Leafa nodded in agreement for the name Avika and smiled happily before she looked at the two other pups.
"The black and tan pup should be Dakoi," Leafa commented, her eyes soft and warm as she stared at the pup.

Avikii smiled, "Dakoi," he tested out the name on his own tongue before turning to look at the other pup, who was tan but rather than having a full black over coat there was only streaks of it in his coat, he looked more brown almost. "Alpine sounds nice for the other." He offered, turning to look at Leafa again.
