Nymeria forced her eyes to open fully for the first time, only to find herself blinking several times as the diluted, dust-filled air stung her still sensitive eyes. After blinking several more times to clear the dust and sleep from her eyes, she finally was able to see the den she had been staying in since her birth for the first time, only to startled by how small the den truly was- it had seemed so much bigger when her eyes were still closed! After gaping at the den for a few heartbeats, Nymeria forced herself to stand upright, legs swaying slightly under her rapidly growing weight, before tottering towards the gaping entrance of the den and out into the bright light of the day. Her face screwed up slightly at the newer, harsher light, but her eyes adjusted in no time and soon her bright amber eyes grew wide as she observed the pack's camp for the first time. Dropping ungracefully into a slouched sitting position, she lifted a rear paw to scratch lazily at her ear while she continued to gaze out at the busy camp, jaw slightly slackened as she watched.

Takoni had been relaxing in the den site, laying down in a patch of sun light that had worked its way through the shade of the large spruce tree that provided their site with shade in the summer and shelter in the winter. That's when he heard the little paw steps of a wandering pup. Just somehow, it seemed the new born pups found their way toward him.
The warrior watched for a moment, keeping his dull orange gaze on the pups stumbling motions.

Nymeria continued to gaze around the densite once more, absently scratching at her ear as she took everything in, trying to memorize the small expanse as quickly as she could. During her gazing, her eyes fell upon a different wolf, one who seemed to be watching her movements. After warily gazing at the wolf for a few moments longer, she slowly got to her feet, legs still slightly shaky, and curiously moved closer towards Takoni, eyes wide as she stared at the older wolf- she had never truly glimpsed a full grown wolf since she had previously just forced her eyes to open, so it was an exciting and intimidating to the young pup. Trotting closer, but still keeping a respectable distance between herself and the stranger, she glanced back at the den she had just emerged from before dropping back down and mimicking the position Takoni had been laying in. Sniffing briefly, she was surprised to find that this wolf's scent was slightly familiar to those she had encountered, but still different in its own way. "Ya smell weird, who're you?" She finally questioned, cocking her head curiously, voice faltering slightly as she failed to sound totally confident in her words.

Takoni looked down, keeping a keen eye on the little pup as she approached. He couldn't help but smile, seeing as the young pup was so curious and obviously still wobbly on her paws. The warrior kept quiet as she inspecting him, then laid down alongside his flank.
"I'm Takoni, one of the warriors in the pack." His voice was low-toned in a way, but not that deep, it revealed a sense of amusement. He ignored her first comment 'ya smell weird' since it was assumed that she was just now learning what things were like outside the nursing den.
