The Lost One (OPEN - Patrol)

(In fact, concerning the territory differences, you would think Bison pack to live where Canyon pack does due to the rugged hills would train alot of strength)

Arrow climbed out of the den, stretching languidly before taking a glance around at the rather desolate den site. It seemed so bizarre that the den site was so empty for once.

Arrow was yawning from her sleep, just as Takoni's voice caught her attention. She turned to look at him, confused at why he had called to her. She slowly made her way towards him, pausing to stretch before she reached him completely. "Yes?" She asked, wondering what he needed.

Dawn padded over to the duo. "Patrol? I wanna come, it's been so long since I gave birth!" She sighed, those furballs will eventually grow up anyways. She pricked her ears preparing if they said yes.

Arrow nodded simply, and turned off to follow after him. "Sounds good," she commented. She wasted no time as she hurried up to his side.

A voice. He heard it, but was it really that of another wolf or just hushed whispers carried in the wind. He whined with a dry throat. His eyelids sat heavy on his face, and began to droop before he gave his head a little shake. With what little strength he had left he stood and walked to the wall of the hole once more. Although he couldn't jump anymore, he went up on his back legs and sat the other two on the wall, pawing it. Soon he felt the strength in his back legs slinking away as he began to slide down onto his stomach. In his decent, he tore down a few scarce pieces of tough dirt that rolled like pebbles, making a nearly inaudible pitter-patter.

Takoni quietly followed after Arrow, who seemly had also heard the little whimper despite her not responding to his words. He also took in the scents around him, quickly pinpointing the scent, it belonged to a wolf, a young one at that, but how young? He couldn't tell.

He eventually found a wandering scent trail, he motioned for Arrow to follow as he himself followed the little winding trail which eventually lead to the dead roots of a tree. Takoni peered down where a little ditch lay underneath the roots and to his surprise, a little pup lay inside.

Arrow followed after Takoni who took the lead once more. She then saw the pup stuck under the roots of the tree. With it being almost completely out of instinct, she dropped down onto her stomach to look at the pup from almost eye level. "Hello?" She asked softly, to the pup just a short way from her. She wondered if the poor thing was even okay, considering how malnourished and sickly it appeared.

Takoni paused before deciding he needed to get the little pup out of the hole, which was guarded by a few roots. He bit down on one of the roots, pulling at it before it finally snapped and left more room for a bigger wolf like him to get his head to fit. Takoni lowered his muzzle into the little space, snuffling around a bit before finding a good grasp one the pup. Very gently, the warrior pulled the pup out of its trap, setting him lightly on the ground beside him and Arrow.

Arrow watched as Takoni did so, she bowed her head over and sniffed the pup. Yet he carried no distinct scent, so he was some sort of lone pup, lost or abandoned. Nonetheless, it was obvious he needed to be taken in. She glanced at Takoni, "hes rather malnourished, almost sick seeming, we should get him back to camp." She informed him with a soft tone almost as if speaking to the pup.
