She Opened Her Eyes (O P E N)

Nova stretched her small legs, as a small flurry of dust went into her nose. She sneezed and opened her eyes. As the light filtered through the den entrance it took Nova aback as she opened her eyes for the first time. She glanced around the small space, taking in every scent of wet soil, the dust floating calmly around the den, and the tempting opening at the front of the den that led somewhere. Curiosity pricked at her pads as she attempted to stand for the first time as well.

The light gray wolf stood up on wobbly legs, managing to stay standing. She let out a triumphant snort padding shakily to the light. As she reached the end of the den she stepped on her front paw, stumbling forward out into the open. A cold feeling wafted around Nova and as she opened her light aqua eyes, she was blinded by the sunlight filtering through the trees. "Woah..." She gasped glancing around the pack camp.

There were many wolves buzzing around the camp, so many the little pup couldn't keep track. She lay there by the side of the entrance waiting for one of them to start a conversation with her, she knew her mother was napping with the rest of the pups inside, but she just couldn't stand the boring sleep she ws having.
