 The air is cool, yet kept slightly warm by the odd winds carried from the south.
Avikii stood at the edge of the Canyon Pack den site, over looking the moonlit valley. It was a great view from here, he had to admit, but enough of that for now, they had a place to be. The alpha turned to face his pack, realizing a few wolves had gathered in the clearing behind him. "Alright, let's go." He barked over the quiet crowd, turning around to face the territory again. Then without wasting another moment Avikii started down the slope that lead down to the flatter areas of their territory. The days warm winds yanked at his pelt as he moved down their territory's slopes, blotches of snow still scattered the ground, yet oddly enough it was very warm that day, yet somehow windy all the same. Without the insane winds it would have felt like summer. The black and tan wolf lead his pack through the frosted fields of the elk hunting grounds, easily passing through and then finding himself at the edge of the western creek just a few paces later. He placed a paw in the water, then another, now wading through the slow moving water. Avikii got out on the other side and looked back at the group, he motioned with his head for the to keep moving. After a trek through the wide open fields of the neutral territory, the Old Oxbow was only a few fox-lengths away. He picked up speed, walking alongside the crescent shaped body of water until he approached the sandbar part of it. Without further pause, he lead his pack into the clearing and took his spot atop the small rise in the center. Surprise, we're first again, he thought as he glanced around for Bison Pack. He'd have to bring up the mysterious dead and half eaten prey sightings, which was a strange event that had been occurring recently. Half eaten prey remains had been spotted through out the territory and he wanted to ask if Crescent had seen them as well. <<>> Hediki followed behind Avikii the whole route, usually staying only a few steps behind him. Once in the clearing of the Oxbow, he broke away from the alpha, and went to take a seat in the open area. |

Lily followed Avikii and her packmates to the gathering area in silence as the cool evening breeze ruffled her pelt. Recently, their had been strange sightings on the territory borders and although it seemed like a warning, no one knew what it really meant, or wasn't willing to tell...

Axolotl padded beside his pack looking around to see if his mate had come to the Gathering. A warm breeze ruffled his fur, making him narrow his eyes.

IC: Axolotl licked her cheek back and murmured. "I'm glad you're here with me." He looked at his step-father wondering if he could ever be an Alpha like him. He whined at the thought of Ice's tragic death, he mourned beside Shade and tried to comfort her.

Leafa traveled at Avikii's side this time. Her golden fur seemed to glow in the moon-light as she walked. Leafa's eyes locked onto the Old Oxbow and she grinned. They would be there first yet again.

Elpis walked with her pack mates towards the gathering site. She watched the sky as they went along, taking breaks in between to watch where she was going. The moon fascinated her, what with its everchanging face that hid in the day. She thought about how others followed this type of behavior, changing how they acted in front of others and making themselves scarce in the day, others like herself. The shadowy glow of the moon reflected in the yellow of her eyes and within herself. She then turned to face toward again. This private moment of happiness of hers caused her to pick up her pace a bit.

Lightning walked just behind Avikii as the pack made their way down to the Old Oxbow. He let out a soft yawn, it had been quite some time since he could recall even being near to the Oxbow in the daylight hours. His ear flicked, signaling in the slightest, that despite his exhausted appearance, was that he was still alert.

Swift followed after her pack, hanging near the back in silence. A slight bit of what had happened during the Oxbow Journey irritated her. Yet, she kept quiet about it all.

Shade lowered her head, she wasn't happy even without Ice by her side, she then said ''Me too....but this isn't feel good, even, all had
changed, Koga made an elder, Ice death, and the strange sightings''. she sighed and kept glancing a clearing, if she could saw
any Bison Pack wolf.

"Don't worry! None of this your fault." Axolotl whined with sadness. "Koga eventually had to become an elder and Ice's death was tragic. But these things come into life, Shade. That's why you're with me." He repeated sincerely. He looked up to the sky, "Ice please forgive me for taking away the apple of your eye." he murmured making sure that his mate couldn't hear.

Crescent stood at the edge of the pack's territory, turning to the wolves gathered behind her. The could waste no time getting to the gathering tonight. "Come on Bison, let's go," she barked, heading off towards the old oxbow, crossing the creek and heading to the center of thr vslley, where she knew the other leader would be waiting.
The alpha and her pack finally reached their destination. Crescent jumped up to her place and nodded a greeting to the other alpha, eyes steely. "Hello, Avikii. Let's get a move on, shall we?"

Dawn padded beside Faolan searching for the other three subordinates if they had come and her mate, Kyro. They hadn't been bonding in a long time and she desperately wished that he could take a break from his Healer duties and spend time with her. "You havin' a good time?" She asked turning her golden gaze at the subordinate. "That's great, my first Gathering was with Kyro." She nodded in reply, "Yep, Kyro the Healer, since we were subordinates."

Faolan looked around, his subordinate ceremony was made late because of his weakness at birth. Alistair was a close friend of his and so was Aspen but Midnight was a bit detached, but she seemed fine about it. He had been thinking about having a mate and he wanted either Aspen or one of her sisters. Dawn then turned and asked him a question, he still found those golden eyes steely. "Yep." IT was short and curt, He stared with his eyes wide, "Kyro is your mate? Since when?". His eyes opened a little wider, shining bright in the moonlight, "Subordinate age?!"

Ash sat down next to Shade, and cuddle her with sadness, Ice acted like a brother to him and even to Shade, but he
was gone now, nothing could stop the death.

Avikii offered a stiff nod in agreement, eager to get the gathering started, there were a few things he wanted to confront Crescent about...
Taking a step quick step forward and raising his tail for silence to fall, he began the gathering. "Canyon Pack has been fairing well, we have a she-wolf expecting pups and other wolves have been ranked up to subordinate, our pack is growing and I know me, or any other wolf couldn't be happier." He took a pause, clumping his words together for what he was about to mention. "Prey has been slowly returning to our territory and we have had numerous successful hunts." He cast a sideways glare in the Bison Pack alpha's direction.
"Now, on the subject of prey... I would like to bring up the strange appearance of half eaten animals and scent markers that aren't ours showing up at our borders." Avikii shifted his gaze away from the alpha beside him, throwing his frost-bitten optics on the wolves among the crowd. "Me and Lightning have discussed the issue and we have come to believe that this is in fact a threat from Bison Pack." He spat the word bison, showing how little he cared for their rivals. Flicking his tail back and forth he kept his hard gaze glued to the crowd, as if daring any wolf to speak up and challenge him.
The Canyon Pack alpha then turned to face Crescent. "Is this true?" He questioned, keeping his eyes firm and challenging.

Takoni had joined the crowd and upon hearing Avikii's accusations, let out a scoff of disbelief. The exact same thing had been happening to them, strange dead half eaten prey had been spotted, the border markers as well. He had heard his pack mates speaking about it and had happened to pick up pieces of conversation, each one talked of Canyon Pack as the culprits.
The Bison Pack warrior pulled back his lips in a snarl, he didn't dare speak up though, as Crescent had yet to answer Avikii.

Leafa watched Avikii from where she sat, her blue eyes locked on the alphas. What was Crescent going to say? How was the Bison Pack Alpha going to react to her mate's accusation? Thoughts swirled through her mind as multiple possibilities arose. Leafa slowly moved her eyes away and looked at the other wolves before returning her gaze to the Alphas.

Elpis sat down and listened as the meeting commenced. The topic at hand was one she wasn't all too familiar with, but it appeared that not much was known about the situation as it was. As often as she went out to look around Canyon territory for herbs or simply to stroll, she had not been met with any unfamiliar faces. At the time of her walks, everything seemed normal, yet there was a strange eeriness in the air upon this night that made her feel like perhaps she had missed something. What is going on? She thought.

Crescent growled under her breath. Avikii thought her pack was stealing Canyon prey? The ludicrousness of the idea, especially when they'd been having a smiliar situation! If anything, it was his wretched pack who was doing it. "Avikii, I'll have you know that Bison would never stoop so low as to steal prey from that filthy area known as Canyon Pack's territory." Like the other alpha had done, she spat the name of the rival pack, showing that the distaste for each other was mutual. "My wolves keep to our territory and hunt there. And anyway, it's so hypocritical of you to bring up these allegations when we've been finding half-eaten carcasses in our land! Scent markers that aren't ours, dead, rotting animal corpses picked of all the fatty meat dotting the valley! Before you start throwing accusations at my pack and I, what do you have to say about our findings? Are they true? " The alpha paused and narrowed her eyes, growing angrier with every word she spoke. "What is the meaning of this little threat, Avikii? A joke? A message? I don't care if it was a foolish subordinate or you and Lightning yourselves, but Ryka and I will absolutely not tolerate trespassers! And the next time we find one of your little...presents...we won't be so kind." She shot a glance back to her own pack, rallying them up. They all knew as well as she did that they'd been finding the half-eaten animals, and she knew they all had a bone to pick with the opposing pack. "Am I right, Bison? Tell our good friend Avikii about what we've been finding!"
(alright Bison, here's your chance to give Canyon Pack a good roasting!)

Leafa looked down, her ears flattening. She'd seen these corpses with her own eyes... the smell... it couldn't be Bison, could it? And if Bison was finding the same thing on their territory as well, could that mean that it wasn't any of the packs? In fact, it could be a loner. This might possibly be a loner, or a rouge Leafa thought. She looked up at Avikii then at Crescent. This gathering was already turning sour. Leafa wanted to give her idea out, but thought better. She would definitely talk to Avikii afterwards about her thoughts on the situation. Leafa's fur prickled as the tension in the air rose.

Lightning glared at Crescent, was she comparing himself and Avikii to a Subordinate? Now talk about hypocritical. The she wolf herself was far more inexperienced then they were. He stood up in his place and scoffed, "Oh yes as if you are one to talk. I would make the bet that you are such a tyrant of an Alpha, not to mention such a terrible one, that your pack is stealing our prey behind your back. They are so desperate for food, and you are such a terrible Alpha, that they sneak out at night just to hunt our prey." He scoffed, figuring that the Bison Pack's tale of prey on their side was simply a panicked excuse to get back at Avikii's accusations that caught them in the act.

Swift stood up, her fur on end and tail sticking straight out as she barked crude remarks back at the Bison pack wolves. Spit was flying between the packs over the bitter accusations. Even with her fur fluffed however, Swift was rather short.

Dawn growled at Canyon alongside Faolan. "How dare you accuse us of prey-stealing! We are not like rouges who leave their prey unattended therefore bringing predators to our territory!" Her golden glare seemed to be like burning through each and every Canyon with rage, even if her rank was just a Hunter she had every right to have a saying.

Faolan did see some of it and he had proof it was from Ruju Tribe but who was going to believe a little subordinate like him? "Canyone wolves have no right to accuse us of treason!"
