Avikii stood over the female loner, making sure his pack mates knew she obviously wasn't a threat. He scanned the little clearing they called their den site and raised his head to bark aloud. "Where's Elpis?" He called, hoping she wasn't out collecting herbs.

Elpis rummaged around in the healer den.her attention, however, was caught by the outcry of her name. There was panic in the tone of the voice. A voice she knew to be her alpha's. Something was very wrong.
Quickly, she rushed out of the entryway into the open. "What is the matter?" She shouted when Avikki was within her sights. She broke into a run and went to him. Glancing down in her hurry, she saw an unfamiliar wolf that seemed unresponsive. She slowed to a stop at their sides and started to look the fallen wolf over for any visible wounds or rashes as protocol. "What happened, where did it happened, was anyone else involved, did you see anything happen?" She said with great haste. It was as if she didn't even take a breath when she spoke.

Avikii thought for a moment, raking his mind for what he remembered. "It was me, Soba, Kuno, and Shade who found her. When we found her she was alone, I'm not sure what happened... We just found her like how she is now." He informed the healer with everything he could recall.

SCarlet's body ached as she felt a nudge against her. Half asleep, she scrambled to her paws, heavily leaning on avikii's Shoulder as they scrambled to the Hearler's den.

Elpis hurried along with them and looked at Shade. "If I am correct," she paused, "she should be." She looked scarlet over once more as she was lying there. There were no signs of any injury, so applicants were out of the questions. "It is an illness. That is for sure, but of what type I need to determine."
Elpis stood and went over to Soba, taking command of the situation. "Soba, I am going to need you to make sure no one goes over where ever you all found her. We can not have another outbreak. Understood?" She then glanced back at Scarlet, her breathing was becoming more irregular by the second, and it was already apparent how sluggish she was becoming. This could be the early stages of white cough. She thought. Though if it has been left unchecked for a while, it could already be green cough.
She turned to Kuno, whom she knew was a scout. "Kuno, she is going to need fresh water and if her breathing gets worse we are going to need something to help open up her lungs. Something like coltsfoot should help relax her respiratory functions."
Then, she faced Shade. "I need you to help me keep her comfortable long enough for me to figure put what is going on for sure." Lastly, she turned to Avikii. "Sir, you may do whatever you wish to help, but please do not make yourself ill in doing so."

Soba nodded, he turned and headed out into the clearing. "Listen up real quick! Nobody will be patrolling the western creek until the sickness that it has caused is gone." He looked back at Avikii for approval of his words.
Kuno nodded, "I can get water, but where do I find coltsfoot? What does it look like? Do you not have any in the den?" He fretted, worried that if he had to go out looking for herbs he would bring back the wrong one.

Shade nodded at Elpis and stood looking at Scarlet, she whispered ''Don't worry, you'll be okay, Elpis will do anything to save your life...'' In the last words her voice broke, remembering how Ice couldn't be safe at time, she shook all that thoughts off her mind, and glanced outside the Healer's den.

Scarlet's eyes fluttered open, only for a couple heartbeats. Conversation filled the den along with a close comforting voice whispering in her ear. She whimpered softly in reply.

Dakoi's ears perked as he heard Soba yell to stay away from the western border. He padded into the healer's den to see a beautiful gray she-wolf lying on her sides. "Can i do anything to help?" He stammered glancing up at Elpis.

Kuno looked up as Dakoi, Avikii's son, walked into the den asking if there was anything he could do to help. Kuno glanced at Elpis before turning back to the younger wolf. "Yeah, stay out of this den, we can't risk you getting sick." The sandy colored male said.
