Swift was too tired to move her head, her nose stung with the water that had filled her lungs. She lay there on her side coughing up spurts of water, but her head could hardly lift up from the ground as she did so. She could not smell who had approached, but Hediki's expression, which she could just hardly see, gave her a good enough hint as to whom had approached. After, she then lowered her gaze down across the horizon. Her heart sank like her body did beneath the cold depths of the rushing rapids of the river. She knew, in that very moment, she would never hear the end of it.
She would have responded, but held her tongue in hopes to save her energy. This was not any argument, if there were one to be, that she had the strength for. To her, Swift had learned quite well, that her energy would be best used in another battle. That it was important to pick which battles to fight. She just hoped that they could settle their differences at another time and help her back to camp. All she wanted was to curl up besides Hediki. It was obvious what he had done was out of a playful behavior, that there was no bad intention, but she worried it could be seen differently to her father.

Hediki froze, realizing it had been Avikii to approach him and Swift. Either it was bad timing or the alpha had never left, he was leaning more towards the second option... but there wasn't any time to think about that now, Avikii looked furious.

The alpha glowered down at Hediki, which he was happy to see it effectively make the younger male cower. Avikii grinned, but aside from his rage toward Hediki, a wave of worry crashed over him for his daughter. How could he just leave her with Hediki? Obviously the other male wasn't very good at keeping her safe... however he did also drag her from the creek. Avikii broke from his thoughts, baring his teeth at the thought of Hediki being the one to save Swift. Oh well, what's done is done, the only thing to think about now is what I'm going to do to that little flea pelt, Avikii thought, then turned to Swift.
"Are you alright?" His voice had softened a bit when he spoke to her, but there was still a hint of displeasure somewhere within it. "Let's get you back to the den site." He then said quickly, leaning a bit to offer his shoulder, hoping that in her current state, and despite obviously being annoyed with her own father, she could take his help.

Hediki watched as Avikii turned to help Swift, it was more than obvious that the alpha didn't care for him. With a grunt, the brown male got to his paws and stood a small distance away, regretting his inability to get close to Swift.

Swift let out a sigh. She tried to drag her paws beneath her, but her efforts were so sluggish. The young she wolf seemed completely and utterly exhausted as she used every last ounce of her energy to get back onto her paws again. Her legs trembled a bit, her body soon following suit. Her eyes kept to the ground, not just because of her slight embaressment and worry, but because she was struggling so hard to stay awake. Worry gripped at her, as she wondered if she would be able to manage the long trek back...
