Malikai had left the rogue site just a few minutes ago, quickly finding himself in the dry vastness of their claimed land. It was night time, obviously, but the glow of the moon over head made things just visible enough. The assassin worked his way through the tall grass and clingy brush, unsure why he had left the site, perhaps it was simply boredom. He hadn't been able to sleep and for the longest time was just watching over his sleeping tribe mates before finally decided to just leave and run off his energy from the days events, which had consisted of a successful hunt. He let out a gruff snort at the though of taking down the clueless prey, happy that he had been the one to kill it and provide for his tribe. Eventually, Malikai stopped, realized he had strayed further than just a few meters. The lean male turned to glance the way he had come, only to see a smaller figure on the dull horizon. He squinted, cocking his head, unable to make out what the figure was. A fellow rogue? A coyote? He was oblivious to the fact of it being Zara, a training novice. He'd find out soon. |

Zara began to descend the somewhat steep incline. At this point in the night, she was aimlessly wandering about.
Once she reached the foot of the hill, she vanished into the surrounding brambles. She then peered out of the brittle vegitation as she caught scent of a familiar lad, Malikai. Curiosity begging to be the most dominant trait at the moment, she started in his direction. Occasionally, she would raise her cranium from within the tall grasses.
Once she was within range of the Assassin, she relied on her nose. She lowered her frame to the dry and cracked earth in her attempt to sneak up on him. Perhaps going head on towards him wasn't the best idea? She decided to continue anyways. Her golden irises then made contact with the brute's legs and she launched herself at him, attempting to pin the larger Tribe-Wolf.

Malikai had kept his eyes on the younger wolf as she crept closer, did she not realize he had already seen her. Although, as she grew closer the grasses grew taller, and soon the smaller tribe wolf had been engulfed by the lands brush. He flicked his ears, listening for an occasional rustle, wondering where she could have gone, was she trying to sneak up on me? He thought, then whipped around as grass rustled louder and out came Zara, who hurled herself at his legs.
The movement took his by surprise, he had to admit, but that didn't mean he would be phased by it. He stumbled backward, quickly catching himself before he could totally fall to the ground. She was decently sized, but not strong enough to knock him to the ground.
As the assassin steadily regained his balance, he glanced over at the training novice, giving her a smirk of approval. "Sneaky tactic," he started. "I hope you realized I had caught sight of you before you even grew close to me?" He asked in a low tone, revealing a hint of amusement under his sturdy monotone voice. He eyed her, quickly wondering why she was away from the site as well, had she followed him?

Zara grunted as her attempt failed as her paws came in contact with the dry earth once more. "I guess you can say that," flashing her ivories as she grinned, "I was partially aware, though I still gave it a shot," she admitted.
"Perhaps you could teach me a few things?" she paused, glancing around then back towards the tall Assassin, "maybe I could use them against those Pack-Wolves?" Zara spat at the horrid thought of the packs, scrunching up her nose in disgust.

Zara stumbled backwards slightly but quickly regained her original stance. She shook her head swiftly as if trying to shake the bearable pain away. She snickered and tossed the same tactic back, taking a step back and folding her audits down onto her crania, pale gold optics narrowed. Though a grin was plastered across her maw.
Zara Used a Front Paw strike. 10 Stamina, 7 Damage.

He mused, happy to see her already so strong. Then without another word, he ushered forwards, using his head to ram Zara to the side, sending a small throb through his cranium.
Malikai used Head Bash, costing 15 stamina and causing 11 damage. Zara is defeated.

Zara let out a grunt when the lad's head came in contact with her flank, sending her towards the grasses. She lied there for a few moments.
Her brows were furrowed as she retreated to a standing position, shaking the dust from the depths of her pelt.
She then lowered her rump to the ground, her whole world seemed as if it were spinning, "maybe next time you could a give a little-baby trainee a chance?" she snorted but soon chuckled as she rolled her shoulders. "That was just a warm-up, I sure you. Give me a few moments and we can go at it again," she joked.

Malikai just rolled his eyes at her comment, a satisfied smirk crossing his muzzle as he let his eyes wander her way. "You now how we do things around here." He paused, "I hope." He added, knowing of the few that had left the tribe for pack-life. He scoffed, they were weak, looking for shelter within the packs, they would never be welcome back here, and he hoped none of the others would leave.
Looking back over to Zara, he let his smirk grow again. "You fought strong, fight stronger and at your age you'll be able to easily over throw one of those flea-pelted pack wolves." He assured with a slight nod.
