"Father, father" Delta said bounsing up and down trying to get Avikii, her adopted father up. "Dad!" Delta barked tugging at his ear " we are a year old, you promised to take us hunting" she whined plopping on him.

Kiaga looked up from were he was curled in a ball. He tilted his head trying to figure out what his blind sister was trying to do " so? What are you doing" he asked his voice raspy from sleep "I'm tying to get father up set he can take us on our first hunt" Delta said wagging her tail " oh ok just wake me up when you get father to wake

Avikii flicked an ear as he woke from a drowsy sleep to the sensation of Delta nagging at his flank or ears. Eventually, the older alpha gave in and raised his head, looking between Delta then over to Kiaga. He offered them a slight smile before replying to what Delta had mentioned.
"Hunting? You think you can go hunting now?" He played with a small teasing grin, now sitting upward and stretching out his fore legs. He looked over to Kiaga again, noticing he was still curled up. It was cute that the pair he had looked over began calling him father, to which he didn't really mind, he knew leafa found the two yearlings to fit in well with their recent litter, and probably their last, who knew.
"If you're so eager to go hunt, meet me outside." He suggested, pushing through the den's entrance.

Delta yipped and walked over to Kiaga, her brother. " get up lazy!" she said nugging him with her mussel " father is going to take us hunting" Delta said smiling " ugh, fine i'm up, i'm up" Kaiga groaned.
" good we have to meet father outside"with a flick of her tail the blind pup walked out in to the sun rise " sorry if i woke you up" she said with a little frown her tail drooped a little.

Kiaga yawned as he got up streching his back popping " ugh, why did you have to get us up so early Dell?" he asked following her out of the den " because.." she answed. the black yearling yawned '' thats not an answer" he retorted at her, Kiaga sighed and walked over to Avikii.
he sat down beside him and looked over the camp, there was some wolfs walking around getting there morning chore's done. " so were are we going to go hunt?" Kiaga asked looking to Avikii.

Avikii watched them for a moment as he stood outside the den, listening to their little conversation. He glanced away from them, letting his eyes settle on the busy pack, either getting ready for patrols or doing den site chores, every wolf seemed busy.
Then he looked down at Kiaga, who had asked him a question. "I think we'll head for the hunting grounds, where else?" He smiled, nudging the yearling's shoulder with the back of his paw. Avikii then stood up, motioning with his tail for the two to follow. "Let's head out." The older alpha finally said, then padded out of the clearing.

Delta smiled and followed Avikii down the trail and passed the wolfs " are we going to start out small?" Delta asked, but she all ready knew the anwer to the question she asked. Delta turned around to walked along side her twin brother.
Kiaga watched as Delta turned her body and walked this away to him " how can you do that ?" he asked her as they walked behind Avikii to the hunting grounds " do what?" Delta asked tilting her head to him in a questioning look.
" you know walk around blind not being able to see the sky or anything" Kiaga said trotting along side Avikii,Delta on his right. " i dont know i just do, being blind his hard, but your hearing and smell go sky high" Delta said swotting him with her tail " hey!" Kiaga barked and nipped at her ear.

Avikii threw a glance over his shoulder, "keep it down you two." He warned with an amused smile, then turned to face forward again, pausing. the hunting grounds were close now, they couldn't afford to scare off any prey.

" ok dad..." they both said at the same time. Kiaga trotted up to Avikii and paused as he looked over the hunting grounds " so is this were we the hunting grounds are?" he asked shaking his fur Kiaga watched as animals of all different kind gathered from the rabbit eating the buds of flowers to the bull Elk standing watch over his harum.
" what are we going to hunt father?" Delta said sneaking up to his her body close to the ground as her blind eyes search for somthing but nothing " will i be able to hunt?" she asked her tail drooped |

Avikii nodded slowly, "yes, these are the hunting grounds." He said in a tone hardly above a whisper, then turned as Delta spoke up. "Since this is your first hunt and an elk will most likely be too strong for you, I'm hoping to find a deer to try and take down, you'll both be hunting." He concluded, looking between the two, quickly wondering how Delta would be able to help, she wouldn't be able to see anything.

Delta lifted her head and opend her eyes to see nothing... nothing at all ' i wish i was not blind...' she thought as she pointed her mussel in to the air tacking a big sniff of it, she could smell all kinds of animals and plants she contrasted on finding a deer. she knew there sent from the meat the hunters brought in from there kills. Delta shook her head and sniffed once more she contrasted on one sent one by one the others faded away and she could smell them the deer.
Delta wagged her tail and cocked her head trying to hear were it was and if it was in the forest or out in the clearing. she wagged her tail harder it softly thumping on the hard ground " dad i can smell one" she said pointing her mussel in the direction of the doe. Kiaga looked up and looked in to direction of were his sister was pointing " holy cow she's right!" |

Avikii averted his gaze in the direction Delta pointed with her muzzle, to his surprise, she was right. "Keep it down Kiaga," he informed through gritted teeth, they weren't going to let this one get away.
The alpha then turned to the yearlings. "Alright, you two are going to work together to take the doe down, I'm going to hang back here and keep tabs on you." He told the pair carefully. This is what he usually did with the newer hunters, let them figure it out on their own, and only acted if the prey got away. If kiaga an Delta managed too let the deer get away, Avikii himself would spring up and take it down, no way was he going to let good prey to go waste.

Delta smiled as Avikii told them what what to do. Kiaga nodded and creeped around to Deltas side Gently guiding her to the tall grass " you know what to do?" The male yearling said in a wispier. Delta just nodded and trailed off to the side of the doe, so when Kiaga was ready she would get as close to them as possible to them and sprint after them.
Kiaga let his sister trail off and to the side of the lone doe. the yearling crepped along the tall grass well hidden from any bird or animal that could give away his position. Delta lifted her nose us just enough to smell the air she was a few yards away from the doe, as she stalked foreword she tentvly placed one paw after the other. ' ok i think i close enough and i hope Kiaga is ready' she thought with a flick of her tail she sprinted out of the grass heading to the doe, as soon as she did that the deer ran in the detection of KIaga ' good' she thought as she keep running, nipping at the hined legs of the beast to keep is from running off cores.
as soon as it reched the tall grass Kiaga Leaped at he grabbing it bu its neck and tacking it down slowly with the help of Delta they brough the deer down to geather. as the doe took its last breath Delta lifted her head up to the sky and howled

Avikii watched, his expression quickly changing and reflecting impression. The alpha male quickly rose to his paws and trotted over to where Kiaga and Delta stole the last breath from the now crumpled figure of a doe. Avikii sat down, peering at the lifeless body, then back up to the pair of yearlings who seemed awfully happy with themselves.
"I'm impressed," was all he managed to say. Perhaps their loner parents had trained them at some point, Avikii thought, trying to figure out how they already knew so much, but he brushed that thought aside.
