Avikii awoke to a warm morning breeze drifting it’s way into his den, he slowly opened his eyes, letting out a yawn as he did. Then, the alpha got to his paws, and squeezed his lean body out of the den. Once outside, he glanced around the den site, taking in the amount of wolves, he smiled slightly, happy to see the pack at peace. He left those thoughts behind, for there were more important things to remember. He turned, jumping atop the den he had just emerged from, and faced his pack, lifted his head to the sky, and let out a low howl.
Today, a pup would receive the rank of subordinate. He stopped the howl, and looked down over his pack. Watching as wolves looked up and began to make their way over to the highstone.

Napu looked up from his place beside the fresh kill pile then excitedly got to his paws, making his way toward the source of the howl.

Avikii let his gaze fall on the approaching Napu, then spoke up again. "Today, a pup will gain the rank of subordinate, Napu, please step forward." He beckoned, waiting for the older pup to move forward.

Napu suddenly grinned, excitement bubbling through him, in a flash he was on his feet and making his way to the front of the crowd.
