Takoni stood warily in the Bison Pack camp. Ever since the rogues attacked at the gathering he had been really jumpy, worrying for another attack. Bison Pack alone wasn't big enough to fight against the tribe on their own...
He shook his head, cleansing himself of his dark thoughts, everything would be fine, the rogues were closer to Canyon Pack's territory anyway.
The pale colored male found himself near the den site nursery, where a new pup was inside, he debated on checking in on the little pup to distract him from his thoughts.

Annora, having not opened her eyes yet only could smell the wolf that was outside the nursery. Excited, she started to yip quite loudly. She wagged her snub of a tail as quick as she could and stated calling out, "I can s...s..smell you! Where's mother?" She said the last sentence on accident and realized what she said was what she had been wondering since she was pulled away from who she assumed was her mother. She started to hear footsteps and forgot about her mother and started to yip again.

Takoni, hearing the yips and yaps from the smaller den made him quicken his pace, slightly worried that there was something wrong. He pushed his muzzle through the den, which was quickly followed by the rest of his stocky figure. The pale grey male peered down at the little pup, who he realized was merely excited, he exhaled, smiling a bit.
"Hey little one, getting used to the place?" He attempted to get her to speak again, seeing as she did just a while earlier.

Annora opened her eyes sleepily realizing they were closed from sleep the whole time. She stared up at the pale gray wolf in front of her. Hearing his words she tried to respond. "Uh, hi. I'm doing g..great! It's q..quite cozy in here. You are t..the first wolf to v...visit me!" Annora stammered a bit since this was one of the first times she had talked to someone. She smiled at the wolf. She immediately decided that this wolf was really nice. She started wagging her tail, which, was the first time she had ever done that. She flipped around and saw her tail whipping back and forth. What is this thing! Grr....I must kill it! She started going in circles chasing her tail until she finally flopped down in defeat.
That's when she saw the wolf again. "Oh, you're still here? What's y..your name? Mine is Annora. Did you see me! I almost caught it! But I couldn't catch it...." When she talked this time she only stammered once. She smiled once again at the pale wolf standing over her.

Takoni merely held his smile, watching as her attention was quickly stolen. He watched as she chased her tail, chuckling to himself at the sight, making him wish he had had more experiences like this one.
"Of course I'm still here! My name is Takoni, and yes I did see you." He said, thinking back to the sight of Annora chasing her tail. "You'll catch it some day, I'm sure."

Hearing Takoni's words made Annora feel even more happy. She couldn't stop smiling now and started shifting on her paws barely being able to hold in her happiness. "Thanks..urr....Takoni! That's the first nice thing anyone has...ever...told me. You are really nice!" Annora wagged her tail again very happy. That's when she remembered that this was really the first wolf she has ever seen. She wondered for the second time where everyone else was. "Mister. Where is everyone else? You are the first wolf I have seen other than the she-wolf that takes care of me. But I haven't seen her since I think two sunrises ago." She said the words with a sad expression on her face.
Annora dropped her tail till it almost touched the ground and turned around. Padding away, the thoughts that she had tried so hard to push away started coming back. Where is my mother? Is she....dead? And what happened to the she-wolf that toke care of me? Is she dead too? Why hasn't anybody but Takoni visited me? Are me and Takoni the only ones here now? She was at the far side of the den now where the spare nest was. She pushed aside the nest and uncovered a shallow hole. Annora dove into the hole and reached above her and pulled the nest back over her and curled up.

Takoni nodded a welcome, "well I'm glad I could be the one to make you happy," though, he paused as he noticed her mood drooping. "Everybody else? The others are either out hunting or patrolling, very few of us are in camp right now." He answered, but watched as she began to pad away.
"Hey, wait! Would you like to meet anybody else? Maybe some wolf will be around, would you like to walk around with me?" He asked desperately as she curled up under the moss laden nest.

(Yay! I don't care if this forum is getting cleaned up.. I wanna post something XD)
Annora pricked her ears and nudged her way from the moss. She stuck her tongue out and shook her head as moss stuck to her ears. She looked around to see the pale colored wolf again. Then she clambered fully out of the nest and shook her fur again. "So there are others! Can we go see them? Will they like me? What is it like outside?" She yipped, hammering him with questions that were moist likely jumbled together and unintelligible.
