Avikii stood at the waters edge of the Old Oxbow, snow gently falling around him. He had been there all morning, seeking the serenity of being alone in a neutral space. Now, he slipped toward the ground, resting his head on his paws. The alpha didn't want to admit his shoulders had gotten sore from standing for so long, he refused to believe he was getting older. The male let out a sigh, staring at the dappling waters in front of him. He began to wonder if he should head back to his territory, check in on his pack mates, they may be wondering where he had been. The old alpha began to rise to his paws, deciding it was time to head back. At that moment a sound came from behind him, paws crunching over snow. He turned his head and noticed a figure approaching in the distance, it was hard to tell who this was by scent due to the snowfall. <<>> Hediki approached from behind. He had noticed Avikii leave earlier that morning and he had begun to grow worried about the alpha's whereabouts, the young male was relived to see that the alpha was safely at the Oxbow. "Hello, Avikii." He spoke up, so the older male knew who he was. "Enjoying the weather? Personally, I'm not." Hediki chuckled, "I've never really liked snow too much."<<>> Avikii smiled, relaxing after he realized the paw steps belonged to a fellow pack member and offered a nod in greeting, "more peaceful here than it is back at the den site, seems like every wolf is always asking me for something." He replied to the warrior in an easy tone. At that moment he heard to sound of more paw steps as they grew closer, coming from the other direction this time. He turned to Hediki, "did you invite some friends?"

Ryka was on a border patrol by herself. Their borders went close to the old oxbow and she noticed figures in the distance. It was hard to tell if they were friend or foe so she decided it best to check it out for herself. She trotted forward and after a little while of trekking through the dense snow she approached the pair of wolves. Canyon Pack. She was a little on edge at first, but loosened up when she realized the pair of males meant no harm. "Hello"

Avikii turned his head, looking at the other alpha offering her a nod in greeting as well. "Ryka, how have you been?" He didn't want to mention the attacks from Ruju, he knew Bison Pack had suffered a bit more than them. The battle was a rough subject with both of the packs, they were still trying to figure out how to fix the issue. A small part of him was still irritated that they hadn't fixed the rogue problem...
<<>>
Hediki flicked and ear, listening in on the alpha's conversation. The male himself had tried to put the battle behind him, however the rogue problem was growing and if the pack wolves didn't fix it soon they could be overthrown, which was not an option for him.

Soba was out showing Napu the pack lands, they had strayed a little far from their own territory and figured since they had gone a little further than intended, Soba would show Napu the place where all the wolves gathered up close, he couldn't remember if the younger wolf had gone to the last gathering.
The pair grew closer to the Old OxBow when they realized there were already other wolves down there.
Napu quickly piped up, "hello!" he cheered, unaware of what the older wolves were discussing.

Ryka started a bit, looking at the young wolf who looked very happy for some odd reason. She was a bit annoyed, but perhaps they needed a happier mood to lighten the edge to the air around them. She shook the fresh snowfall off her pelt, smiling at the small canyon pack wolf. She then looked up to Avikii, and nodded, "I'm doing okay, Bison pack is fairing well"

It was a thirst like she'd never known before. Even her saliva was thick like wallpaper paste. Zara's throat felt parched as if the skin had been extracted and laid out in the scorching sun on a summer day to dry. It gnawed at her, tormented her and she could think of nothing other than finding something cool to quench it. her head banged and throbbed and as the dehydration advanced. She became more desperate, searching for something, anything, that contained liquid. She was puzzled to how she was suddenly dying of thirst. Perhaps her thick pelt? Maybe. She started toward the horse-shoe shaped body of water.
The Oxbow came into view, a few silhouettes forming through the icy air. The slush-like-snow crunched from under Zara's mass, light, miscellaneous flakes sprinkling her mono-chrome pelt. All she wanted was to grab a quick drink and return to camp.
Her light-hued eyes scanned the faces of the pack wolves before she lowered her head to the nearly frozen liquid, lapping at its surface. She kept a neutral expression on her face, she was out-numbered yet still cautious. Glancing at each canine before lifting her head and shifting her vision back the protruding path she came from, analyzing her route if needed to retreat. She hadn't seen Malikai in a minute, where was he? Kai was one of the only wolves Zara had spoken to since her arrival.

The novice, who is just a few weeks shy of her first year, keeps her impassive stare casted downwards toward the soft blanket of snow provided by the season as she advances forward, inwardly admiring the overall aesthetic of winter. The gentle and audible crunching of the substance beneath her ebony digits, the light particles of snow descending from the sky in a delicate manner, and the film of snow covering the terrain. It was beautiful and definitely something Quartz could spend hours analyzing and simply looking at. The light radiating from the rising sun was yet another factor that she savored regularly. The manner of which the light casts over the land covered in snow gave the surface a shiny— almost reflective film was pleasing. The crisp breeze courses through her dense coat and tousles it every which way, furthering it into a messier fashion but she was too captivated into the environment to pay much attention to it.
She left the borders of the territory some time ago, curious to what laid beyond the boundaries of camp. Considering she has communicated to a mere three wolves within the duration of her arrival, she anticipated her absence would go unnoticed for awhile. Where was she headed to? Not even she had a clue but yet she wasn't going to interrogate it too much and instead allow herself to be transported wherever her paws guided her.
As Quartz proceeds onward, she raises her gaze, detecting the wavering scents of canines about a slight distance ahead of her location. Shifting her nose toward the origin of the scents, she was unable to identify any familiarity and she was assuming it was because the wolves were still some strides away. Taking almost immediate interest, Quartz begins forth toward the direction while her symmetrical features remain outwardly composed though her alarm was steadily increasing, the silhouettes of wolves becoming more and more refined as she approaches. She recognizes a few of the wolves to be pack wolves from the night Titan decided to "interrupt" one of their gatherings. She wasn't necessarily intimidated, but rather extremely vigilant. However within the combination of the various— very foreign— scents, one greatly stood out to her. There was another Tribe wolf present in the area and Quartz's eyes were sweeping over each wolf in attempts to pinpoint which wolf it was. Once her gaze lands on another monochrome pelted wolf who seemed to be of similar age, she pauses in her tracks. The both of them were evidently outnumbered and even if words of animosity were to be thrown around later, the novice wasn't going to linger around to get involved. Exhaling audibly, her eyes remain stationed on the pack wolves, growing interested in how they would react.
