Gender: Female
Appearance: Defined and dignified. Quartz bears a pristine monochrome undercoat with symmetrical features embellished with overtones of warm browns. Despite its disheveled image, it remains undeniably soft and wispy with the false delusion of coarseness. She is built with a statuesque composition, equipped with a slim stocky body and chiseled legs. Her muzzle is nicely proportioned with her narrow face with rows of pearly incisors that align atop black gums, always kept sharp and well cared for. A toned neck sits upon broad shoulders, and a barrel-esque abdomen tapers to filled out haunches. Her posture remains poised, and gait comprises of long powerful strides, remaining highly attentive to where she plants her steps, rendering her in traveling atop silent paws with undemanding fluidity. The air she radiates consists of cool confidence that manifests raw pride. The bone that connects her ankle and paw (fore right leg) is slightly malformed. At a young age, she accepted she would grow to walk on only three legs though managed to surmount the barriers her ankle brought. While the ankle remains fully functional, Quartz cannot nor will not risk to overdue herself in the running field. When she walks there is an additional and insignificantly detectable bound in her step because of the ankle and she struggles traversing over inconsistent terrain, especially when in a sprint. Quartz is partially blind in her right eye and is—like her ankle—a hereditary attribute that she derived from her mother who was entirely blind in her right eye. Aside from that, numerous scars litter her body and for the most part, have now been concealed by her thick coat. Among all of the gashes, comparably the worst is a deep, fresh and angry laceration that lies over the left shoulder blade that she just recently acquired from a squabble with a fellow loner over a scrap of food.
Personality: Quartz—above all else—is family and goal-orientated. She is doggedly loyal and persistent to endorse her devotion via actions as verbalizing her affection isn't much of her specialty. When someone does her loved ones wrong, count on her to be out for blood. Nothing can manage its way in between her connections or her ambitions. This can coincide with her diplomatic insight; she maintains her relationships with sensibility and civility. Boundaries are something she keeps in mind, respecting all's privacy, business, and personal bubble. She has a grounded mind that doesn't detour to believing in what it cannot perceive; she's very by the book and relies on rationality built off experience. Quartz is extremely analytical; she's one to explore her surroundings especially when entering foreign turf or encountering new faces. She isn't fast to place judgment onto another individual until after examining their body language to capture definite patterns and calculate how they may regularly function. She eludes communication as much as she can; never speaking more than what is necessary, never sugarcoating things or beating around the bush either. Very terse and frank, perhaps even a little curt if it is to quickly get her point across. She doesn't rely on her voice to publicize her emotions and instead allows her body language to speak for her generally only speaking if it is to benefit the social arena. Due to this, she may come off as emotionally detached and robotic; impassive. However, while her introversion may contradict it, publicizing her opinions is a rather easy feat for her. She is incredibly intelligent and quick to absorb external information and is able to methodize unexpectedly large quantities of it without feeling trounced. Quartz is impulsive, and it derives from her competitive nature; she is exceedingly competitive and accepting defeat is a challenge all on its own. When Quartz is irritated beyond the capability of easily calming down, there is a very slim chance that she’ll be even the smallest bit cooperative. She can be incredibly snappish and captious in this state and is very inclined to ignite animosity amongst others. While she typically employs etiquette and formality when addressing others, she will without hesitancy retaliate with disdain if she deems disrespect to be applied to her. Quartz aims to be composed and judicious during these types of situations—she isn't much of the brutish kind—but she is still subject to losing her temper and lashing out, which she isn't enamored of doing. She loathes when others know they have managed to get under her skin. Quartz has found pride in administering law onto others, not necessarily in a condescending manner but in the sense that she can and will assert herself as someone not to understate in terms of capability. She bows only to those of higher command enforcing laws of which mirror her own ethics. She is no pushover and will hold her own under authority that others may consider browbeating. She isn't fond of being pushed around and will brazenly push back if drawn to the point where she sees an opposition fit. Quartz is brutally honest. A lot of the reason why she is the way she is can be blamed for the environment in which she thrived in for so long. Quartz had to learn at an early age that the world isn't as bright or as cozy as some depict it to be. To survive, you have to be strong.
