An Unexpected Guest (OPEN PATROL) [FINISHED]

Avikii after looking forward again, he heard a young voice call from behind. Once again he looked behind him, this time a pale male wolf stood in his range of view. “Hello Soba, and yes, I’m heading out now, looking to join me?” He asked, now turning completely around to face the smaller wolf. “We’re leaving now, come along.” He stood up, brushed past Soba, and made his way to the side of the den site where it was easiest to get down into the main territory.



The alpha looked over his shoulder to make sure the male was following.

Avikii trotted forward, scenting the air every so often to make sure he knew his surroundings. He slowed his pace slightly so Soba could catch up and walk by his side. “Are you looking to practice anything?” He asked the young male, hoping he was just going to focus on hunting since that was what Avikii had planned to do.

Has Soba hunted at all yet? He thought, not exactly remembering the male bring any prey back to camp. Hunting would be good to focus on then.

Soba thought, "hunting? I haven't done much of it." he told him. Just then an unfamiliar scent hit his nose. "Avikii what's that smell?"

Leafa slowed down and and scratched at the ground, revealing a small hole with two lizards in it. The wolf picked them up and looked around.

Elpis, had caught a glimpse of the two heading off out of camp. It was about time she started getting out more, and not in secret. Eventually she caught up to them and lagged a little bit behind, seeing as they were engaged at the moment. Her ears flicked as she gathered in the conversation, so that she wouldn't need a briefing. Elpis then walked up to the too and said , "what is going on here?" A question she didn't really need answered but was necessary to be asked in order to insert herself into the conversation. She was carefully learning how to speak up more.

Leafa grabbed her prey and began walking again. She looked up ahead and saw a small group of wolves standing there. Leafa froze and stared at them for several moments. She didn't want to fight them, or run. She would have to try to talk to them. Leafa dropped the prey and stood there silently, waiting for one of them to notice. She was seriously testing her luck at the moment.

Soba paused and looked up, noticing the female loner.

Soba looked at Avikii, then looked at Elpis, he shrugged, following behind Avikii.

Avikii continued making his way forward, weaving between the thin aspen tree trunks. He was finally just about a fox length away when he increased speed to just under a dash. The lean alpha planted firm paws on the loners shoulders, pushing her to the ground rather easily.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" He lightly growled, his spinal fur pricking up towards the cloudy sky above. These subordinates need to know how to deal with trespassing rogues or loners, and even rival pack members. He thought as he kept the she-wolf pinned to the ground.
