Expanding Your Realities (CLOSED PATROL) [ Finished ]

Lightning headed out of the den, roughly at the same time as Hediki had left his. He padded out through the snow, finding himself rather warm. He had a fairly thick coat considering he came from the northern parts of rouge territory that seemed to be unending.
He took his place besides Avikii glancing between the two. He peered over to the subordinates den to see if Swift or Ceiko would be joining them.

Ceiko heard Hedikis brisk movements to get out of their den, or what could hardly be considered even a shelter. He was just satisfied it was better then the prisoners den. He was a fairly light sleeper, but he had slept pleasantly, unlike swift or hediki would manage to say.
He stood up and shook out his fur which was already fairly fluffed due to his subconscious mind knowing of his need for warmth. His coat unlike the others, had grown thicker, similar to his mothers.
He prodded at Swift, "Swift, Swift wake up!" He said in an urgent whisper.
"We have to go." He told her.

Swift merely groaned, "But I don't want to! If I get up I'm only going to be colder and its because of this no good oh whatever this is, its because of this I didn't get any sleep!" She snapped irratably.

Ceiko laid his ears back, his body shrunk up against the wall.
"Im.. I'm sorry you didn't sleep well..." He trailed off looking at the ground, his ears flicked.
"However if we don't get out there, your dad can punish us for disobeying. How do you think the other wolves will think of us if we get deranked to omegas when we have hardly become subordinates.
Ceiko was vaguely aware of swifts emotions towards hediki. And he used this, hoping it would convince her. After all, they were fairly hard to hide as obvious as she was during some of her out lashes. Other times however, she was often open to him and used him to vent to.

Swift immediately could imagine, in her mind, hediki cackling at her. He was bragging and laughing how she couldn't be any worse of a wolf in the pack then he. He was a half blood and yet higher in rank.. She shook herself, even if such an idea was beyond the truth, she didn't want to leave room to possibility. She stood up and shook her pelt out. She pushed her way past ceiko and out towards her father and his beta.

Ceiling turned out of the den after her, trotting out with haste.

Lightning nodded, "as ready as I will ever be." He commented, standing and then shaking his fur out. He took a glance around and released a brief yawn, it almost felt like dusk, yet it was hardly dawn. It was this odd weather that he had to admit he was so fond of.

Swift shivered as she stood out there, her body slowly adapting to the cold weather. She couldn't wait to get moving so her cold stiff joints would he stretched out.

Cieko pressed on ahead so he was closer besides Lightning. It was hardly his second time outside of camp and he was eager to make the Beta and Alpha proud. He was hardly concious of his near-blind state, and as it slowly progressed he hoped he could show his worth. He hoped to show them he could manage very well even if he did go blind, however in the mean time he didnt want to mention anything about it.

Swift noticed that she was falling behind, she picked up her pace, but soon found herself besides Hediki. Her tail flicked back and forth as she rolled her eyes, not very satisfied she had to end up stuck with him on a patrol.

Lightning took a brief glance over at Ceiko who had neared his side, then turned his attention back to Avikii, "So have you decided where we are heading to?" He asked Avikii softly, not exactly wanting any of the subs to hear if they didn't exactly have a plan in mind. It just felt unprofessional.

Lightning nodded, he followed Avikii's train of thought. Considering they don't know any of the other borders, it would be likely that they would find themselves coming to patrol this one for the time being until they learn of other patrols.

Swift held the silence, despite how awkward it felt, she could care less. She just wanted this patrol to be finished.

Ceiko looked around in awe, even if this was all hard to see, it was none the less beautiful and he loved every second of it. He was completely oblivious to the negativity that swarmed behind him.

Lightning nodded in agreement to what Avikii had to say, not having anything to add himself. He figured that anything Avikii deemed important, that he would already say it.

Ceiko hardly seemed to pay much attention, he nodded as if hearing Avikii but he was too distracted taking in the sparkling white snow that covered a vast expanse of the land before him. He was grateful to have the gift of sight even for a little, to be able to experience anything as beautiful as this. He wanted to tell him mum all about it. His tail wagged as he looked over the land, eager to go play a bit, but also to show the leading pair that he was useful to the pack despite his eyesight.

Swift glanced over it briefly and then looked up at her father, "How can you tell where the boarder is? Everything looks the same." Her comment was flat, she carried the same negative tone that she had in her mind that would be directed towards Hediki. It was obvious to see she was not very pleased to be up so early in the freezing cold to do a chore she had no interest in alongside a wolf she disgusted.

Ceiko turned his attention to Swift with shock, his jaws gaping. She made it sound as if everything were dull and unintresting! He was the one going blind, yet ironically enough, she seemed to be so blind to how amazing it was out here. He closed his jaws, and kept his thoughts to himself, once again getting lost in the lands beauty and daydreams of impressing Avikii and Lightning.

Swift stared at him, her ears flicked dismissively as she picked out a slightly annoyed sounding tone. She shook her coat as she ignored the dumbfounded look he always seemed to give her. She couldn't possibly ignore it, he hardly ever chose to look at her and yet when he did, he looked at her as if seeing a ghost. She took a few steps ahead and then shook out her hind paw to rid it of snow, flicking some into Hediki's face. It was an accident she was rather proud of.

Lightning felt the tension and cleared his throat in attempt to break it, "Let's move on, shall we?" he asked looking between everybody. He took notice to Ceiko's distraction and flicked his nose with his tail tip to catch his attention, a warm smile crossing his face with a happiness over the young wolf.

Lightning took a glance to Avikii and smiled to him in understanding, he glanced across the territory and then started to head down the slope, carefully picking his way down.

Ceiko looked at Lightning who started to head down, he took a few bounds and started to slip down the slope. Once he was sliding fast, faster, he stopped his fidgeting and held a more balanced and graceful composure. However the minute he came across an obstacle, he tried to leap out of the way and of course failed, tumbling down the rest of the slope.

Swift turned, her head snapped around, almost turning a whole one eighty degrees. Swift growled at him and leapt at him, her fore-paws landing square against his side, enough to cause him to slip and send them both spiraling and tumbling down the slope.

Lightning merely nodded, understanding what Avikii meant. He looked after Hediki and Swift who overtook him down the hill. With care, he picked up the pace, slipping and sliding down the snowy hill without the klutzy behaviors in which the Subordinates did so.

Swift found it difficult to get a read on anything, the world spun around her, a blur of sky, snow and fur. She wasn't even to sure what was her own fur. She quickly grew dizzy. She tried to get a grip on anything she could reach, but in turn, she ended up breaking away from Hediki as she tumbled down the hill.

Lightning watched as Hediki dizzily got to his paws, "Hediki don't move another paw before you walk into a snowpit or something." He wouldnt be surprised if any of the old fox or badger holes swallowed him alive in his dizzied state. He carefully picked his way down the last of the slope and found himself besides Hediki, watching him regain a bit of his stability.
He had a slight bit of worry over Hediki, unlike over swift. Hediki was his nephew after all. Swift on the other paw, was Kaiser and Avikii's pup, which spoke a multiple of meanings on its own. However its not to say he doesn't care for them, he just places Hediki higher due to him being kin to him.
A part of him wanted to tell him, but another part was quite uncertain if he should.

Swift collapsed at the bottom on the hill, her nose buried in a pile of snow as he body lay splayed out and cold at the base of the slope.

Ceiko tumbled away into a snowy bush. He yelped as a few dry twigs prodded his side.
