Arrows voice got tight, tears glossed her eyes, but with her head hung low, they were impossible to see. "I just... I came out for a breath of air." She lied, but it was all too obvious. She tried to continue on with her lie, and cleared her throat in attempt to sound more convincing. "I, just.. I got hot and... and then I fell down this hill..." At least the last part of that was true...

302 eyed her, he noticed how she covered up most of her face by looking away, was she lying to me? His gut wrenched again at more disbelieving thoughts. The only fragment of words he could manage was, "are... are you lying to me?" He stared at her dead on, it was obvious she slipped down the hill on accident, but why did she leave the camp, or even the den at all? Surely she didn't think she could get away with running back to Bison Pack's territory?

Avikii shifted in his sleep, he was finding it hard to remain asleep that night, occasionally waking up. He swore he heard paw steps at one point... Many paw steps, quick ones, slow ones, the question was though what were they doing? He couldn't take it anymore, deciding to stretch his legs he stood up and squeezed out of the alpha's den. He looked around once outside, Okami's up, with Elpis as well.. I wonder if they saw anything. He padded over to the pair quietly, "hello there, enjoying the cool air?" He questioned Okami, their newest pack member.

Upon hearing the alpha's voice, Okami spun around, suprised. She had been so caught up in her thoughts and talking to Elpis she hadn't noticed his presence. She quickly gathered herself and bowed her head in respect.
"Yes, it is quite nice."
She replied casually. She knew something was wrong. |

Avikii watched as she bowed and pondered her response for a moment, he looked up at the glaring moon upon doing so. He looked back down, making eye contact, "did you see any wolves leave or enter camp?" He needed to get to the bottom of this, why had there been so much noise in the middle of the night?

Okami lifted her head back up and flinched. She knew that was going to happen.
"Well...yes. It's been bothering me for hours."
She said quietly.
"I couldn't identify them. It was dark and I haven't met everyone in the pack yet."
She spoke, regretting that she didn't try to intercept them.
"I'm sorry..."

Avikii eyed her for a moment, what was she so sorry for? He thought. "No it's okay..." He lifted his nose to the air, "no need to be sorry." He looked down at her again after catching a few scents, "don't let my high rank intimidate you." He gave a short wink and proceed to determine what wolves had left camp, one was familiar. "I think one of the wolves that left was Lightning..." He paused, sniffing the air again. "And 302, that rascal, it could be possible that's he's out making trouble again..." Avikii glanced toward the entrance, dying to investigate in case anything that was happening was against pack rules.
He began to move toward the entrance before turning his head to look at Okami, "you can stay here, or join if you want..." He flicked his tail, "things just might get a little dramatic."

Arrow took a step forth, opening her mouth, then scooted back a few paw steps further into the darkness and shadows. She nodded slightly, she didn't know what else to say. She couldn't stand the weight that rested on her shoulders. "I miss home..." she said softly, her voice cracking. She bit her tounge to hold back the tears. She wasn't even sure if she was loud enough for him to hear. She wanted to comfort him and explain what she felt, how she didn't want to leave him, yet how she missed bison pack. A weight held her down, she wanted to go to him and reassure him, but she just couldnt. She didn't know what to do.

He shivered at the thought, he looked away from her as she seemed to hide herself even more. He felt his legs waver, seemingly unable to keep him from toppling to the ground, his thoughts swirled in his head, all he didn't want to be true. Perhaps she never loved me, I'm a fool for falling in love with a wolf from another pack... I can't believe I... He stopped himself from thinking more dreaded thoughts, trying so hard to think positive, though that was hard to considering the situation...

Arrow watched thoughts swarm in his head, words zipping past his eyes, emotions flashing through his pupils. She searched them as she tried to grasp what just went on inside of his mind but found it all the more difficult to recognize even a single thing. She looked down, "302 I-" She had started but she was quickly cut off as a rustle was heard through the bushes. Her ears flicked forth, her heart pounded on her chest. 'Lightning'
The single thought hit her mind as quick as she recognized his strong musky scent. How did she not realize it earlier? She wondered if it were because of the damage he had dealt to her nose upon their second encounter and her capturing or if it were just because she had been so distacted by the situation. Arrow couldn't let herself be caught, she couldn't go back, it would be hell for her.
Lightning had watched for but a few minutes before he decided to burst out, nothing seemed to be happening, but there was no telling what he may had missed. He leapt from the overgrowth quickly. His eyes darted towards Arrow who turned on her heals quickly and made a run for it. Lightning narrowed his eyes and pelted after her faster. He was not as weak, he was not as malnurushed, he wasnt as lacking in excercise. He made straight for her.
Arrow felt her paws slip from beneath her, a large weight landed upon her. She let out a yelp/ shreik of pain, as Lightning landed upon her heavily.

302 snapped back into reality as Lightning pounced from the bushes nearby, how long had he been there!? He immediately got up and pelted after them, suddenly worried for Arrow.
They hadn't got too far, even if Arrow got a head start Lightning still sped after her with ease. He stopped, seeing as Arrow was now pinned beneath Lightning's weight. He opened his mouth to protest, but something held his back. Was it the fact that Arrow had broken his trust? Did she deserve to get another punishment? He closed his gaping jaw, merely watching for what was about to go down.

Arrow felt the tears spill past her eyes, just barely. They were not just tears of pain, no they weren't tears of pain at all, she could deal with that. She closed her eyes, her ears fell back as she felt Lightning yank on her scruff when he found her struggling no more. He stood over her, pulling her back, trying to get her to stand. She could hear his voice, the strong commands that rose from his throat in a growl, muffled past her fur. Everything came to her ears fuzzy. She felt like she was about to relive every moment of being by the creek, only one thing was different. 302 wasnt comming to her aid. Did he want to keep her as pent up as the rest of them? Maybe she was nothing but a toy to him? Maybe it amused him as much to see her be like a mouse tormented, caught between freedom and survival and death and hopelessness. She finally staggered to her paws, she felt a cool liquid stick to her fur. Blood. Lightning pierced her scruff just enough to draw blood. She felt numb to it, perhaps she was just being over dramatic. Perhaps she was just mad (crazy) and overestimating it all. She didn't know. But to her, everything clicked. She damn right f***ed up. Nothing was as great a pain as that her heart carried.

"You should head back."
She touched her nose to the pup's and padded after Avikki.
This'll be interesting.
She picked up the scents of a male wolf. Is that who Avikki was talking about? 302?

Avikii felt Okami's presence on his heels so he picked up the pace, eager to follow the scents and find out what was happening. His paws thudded lightly on the ground as he cleared ground, listening to Okami's behind him. That's when he heard a noise. Was that a yelp? He perked his ears, interested now yet also worried.
He rounded a boulder that sat practically on a small slope, where he stopped to find the scene. His frosty gaze darted between the three wolves, he noticed Arrow as well. Had she tried to sneak out again? He pinned his ears, angry. Why didn't I enforce her more? I let her stay with 302 and of course he didn't keep an eye on her. His thoughts swarmed, but what if 302 was the one to help her escape? And if it weren't for Lightning she would have gotten away for good. His eyes rested on Arrow, who was pinned under Lightning's large paws.
"What's the meaning of all this!?" He boomed, obviously making it more assertive to Arrow and 302.

302 jumped at his alphas sudden burst of voice, his fur stood up along the ridge of his back, fearful to turn around for a moment. Great, he's going to think I was helping Arrow again. His eyes dropped to the ground, their usually bright amber color now appeared as more of a dark brown, glazed with sorrow and anger.

Okami peered at the three wolves. She was wary of Lightning. She was about to witness emotions explode. She gazed at 302, his eyes looking sad. She felt like she wasn't supposed to be here. She said nothing and just observed the scene with interest. The she-wolf, she felt sorry for. Was that the one whom she heard sneak out first? She blinked, eyes filled with concern and apprehension for the actions of these wolves. |

Elpis hadn't the guts to speak up and say she wanted to come with, but she wasn't going back to the nursery again. She wanted to explore. Elpis was hesitant to follow at first. When the other two had gone far enough from her she began to follow slowly and quietly. When she saw them come to a stop, she did so as well from a distance and watched.

Arrow stood on her paws, her chin slightly bloodied from being tackled to the ground. The blood was only slightly on her gums and teeth as well. She glared at Avikii through thinned eyes, letting out a growl. "Leave him out of this." She said flatly, "I attempted escape, he didn't know and he hardly found me out here shortly before lightning had." Her tone was flat, and almost frightening. Like that of someone who could have just murdered, but was so expressionless, you could never have known. Her own calm in her words scared herself. She felt like a train wreck inside, she could never speak to 302 again after this. Not that he would even want to or that Avikii would even allow it. She held her head high, closing her mouth to keep the blood from in her mouth in her mouth. Her body shook just slightly out of exhaustion and pain.
Lightning didn't argue with her words, he hadn't been able to determine how long they had been gone. However, he did see that 302 did nothing to take her back to the camp, of course. Perhaps he did help her, perhaps he had stopped her in her tracks. He wondered how 302 could prove it. He tossed Arrow to the ground, the wolf falling like a dead carcass.
"If what she says is true... that 302 was not helping her. Then the moment I saw the two out here, 302 was in fact stopping her. Now if I were him, seeing as this flee bitten mutt who hardly fits the description of Bison scum." Lightning took a pause to not only collect his words but hide away every fiber of his body that told him to help his kin not go against them. "I wouldn't be such goodie goodie friends... If you honestly think she cares about you..." Lightning broke off shaking his head, "Especially after this display, well then you either helped her and have taken no offence or youre blind." He looked at the mound of fur crumpled on the ground, "She doesn't care,... she just played you." He scoffed.
Lightning shifted his weight, turning to Avikii, "In my opinion, if 302 really wants to prove his loyalty, he needs to tear into her this time. I want a fight." He looked at Avikii, this was but a second time Arrow made it out of camp, however there was no telling if she would make it out the next time. After watching the two, he had realised that she did indeed like them. However, the way 302 acted when he arrived, made it appear like he was hurt. He hoped his words were perhaps convincing enough to make 302 to hate arrow, to push him over that edge. If they were lucky, 302 would take the bait, and Arrow would be rendered hopeless as well as injured and unable to leave camp. It was harsh, but what did it matter? Avikii hadn't tried to steal her and make her a canyon wolf, he didnt even try to give her a chance at canyon life if he had noticed 302 and Arrows closeness as he had. Arrow was just taking up space, if she died in camp it would help them all as winter crept closer. Lightning regretted much of his thoughts, feeling bad for wishing so horribly upon his own blood. However he would never forget what pain she put him through either, and he couldnt let go of that same anger, its what kept him from crumbling.

Avikii held his word for a moment, aware of the subordinate watching from behind, he could feel another young presence but he didn't know who the wolf was. He listened to Lightning's somewhat hypnotizing wording, thoughts swirled in his mind, unsure of what was really going on, after all he just recently woke up, only to find the outrageous scene in the sparse forest of their territory. He stopped thinking now, he just had to talk. Hearing Lightning finish up, he began to speak...
"I agree with what you saying Lightning." He snuck a glance at Arrow, who remained as a crumpled mess on the dusty ground. "This isn't tolerable, we let up on her by feeding her and letting her stay in a warmer den, only to be returned with betrayal." That last part was aimed more at 302, Arrow could get away with betrayal since she wasn't exactly in Canyon Pack, it was only natural between rivals. He looked at 302, who held his slender head in shame, and something that looked like something similar to rage and hurt burned in his glazed golden eyes. "These kinds of actions will not be tolerated within the pack..." He glared between the troublemakers again, then let his gaze fall onto Lightning. "Grab her and drag her back to the den site, I'll take care of 302..." He trailed off and turned on the smaller dark wolf, "Come on, get up and start heading back to camp, you'll be lucky if I don't drop your rank." He smirked, the feeling of power over the Casanova surging through his veins.

302 felt heartbroken, but at the same time, utterly pissed off. She had used him, and he was blind. Lightning was right. Why did I ever trust a Bison wolf, those sorry excuses for wolves... He snarled, his ears pinned close to the side of his head. He ignored his alpha's words, not wanting to think about any consequences. He had heard what Lightning said, he wanted him to fight Arrow. At this point he Didn't care if he had to fight to the death. The only wolf I ever actually loved, betrayed me. He quickly got to his paws and reluctantly headed back to the den site... "I'll teach you Arrow..." He mumbled.

Avikii stayed behind for a moment, he eyed Lightning for a moment before speaking. "A fight would be interesting, and I'm sure it would teach 302 a lesson... What about de-ranking him? I'm debating whether or not its necessary." He pondered his own words for a moment, turning at the sound of paw steps. He saw 302 and watched as he stiffly headed back to the den site.
